The factory tour was on my families must do list of Adelaide attractions. Being from Adelaide it was something we always wanted to do but had never planned and we were very glad we went! The tour lasted around 30 minutes and explained the history of the company as well as how the chocolate is made! We were lead by our very knowledgeable guide Jo who lead us past the glass windows revealing the Ompa Lompas hand crafting all of the Haighs goodies! The highlight of the tour was the free samples which were handed out just before we were taken to the gift shop!!!
- Note their is additional parking out the back of haighs :)

If you like chocolate you just have to go here. The tour is free (book ahead to make sure you get a spot) and quite interesting and informative regarding the history of Haigh's and the chocolate making process.
There are some free samples to whet your appetite and free tea and coffee in the show room.
The visitors centre also offers 'seconds' at a discounted price, although once you find out what 'seconds' means you'll realise what a bargain you're getting.
Only draw back is that there is limited parking if you drive out.

Very informative talk on the history, and being able to view the panning room and spinning rooms in action. Easter Eggs being made.Watching people doing the finishing touches to chocolate presentations. Enjoyed sampling and appreciated having a tea or coffee available. YUM!!!!

A nice place to attend if you're looking for that special gift. The displays are incredible, and you can even have a free coffee while you browse. If you walk out of here empty handed, I'd be very surprised. Go and have a look. There might just be the little package you were looking for, for that special someone.
