The guys selling these tickets are super pushy and that's across all of the main bus companies offering hop on hop off services.
These buses are very worn and the tops are hardly ever put down on them so if you want a bit of sun you would be disappointed.
The stops aren't where you would want them either I don't think. The only one near the landmark is the Coliseum.
Generally you spend most of your time in traffic or at a light or most frustrating sitting at one of the stops not moving for ages.
Every 15 minutes is a bit of a joke as we weren't allowed on the blue line bus as we had a red ticket. That's mad. Its not explained when purchasing.

Plans for a day discovering Rome went up in smoke when we found that one of the main Metro lines was not operating. Walking to the Spanish steps was too far for us so we saw this Hop On Hop Off tour and decided to try it. The guys who sell the tickets are very pushy but we did it anyway. They give you headsets so you can listen to their commentary which is fine but the bus itself! Oh my gosh! No air conditioning at all!! The bus was dirty and smelly and just plain awful. On our second trip not only did they not have air conditioning but the windows were closed!! It was like a sauna in there. Just horrible. Do not use this tour.

We were recommended this company by our hotel concierge who was very insistent on us booking this tour. Buses were packed and pretty dirty with limited seats especially on the main level. We were told busses would run every ten minutes or so and that the first one would be at 9am at the first stop but it didn't show up until 30 minutes later which we waited for under the hot sun. Next, we waited almost an hour for the bus in the afternoon sun at St Peters Square stop whereas we saw many other busses from different tour companies come by more frequently. I'm glad I got to see the different sights in one day but I wouldn't recommend this company for the lack of bus frequency and unorganized operations.

I normally love tour guides at museums but my experience with Green Line Tours at the Vatican in July, 2019 was the worst. In fairness it is overly crowded this time of year, but this tour makes a bad situation worse. First, avoid bilingual tours. Ours was Spanish and English and the tour guide spent 60% of her time in Spanish and 40% in English. Even if it had been 50/50, the premise is wrong. Because they repeat everything in each language, you really only get half the time devoted in your language. Also, our tour guide spoke and walked WAY TOO RAPIDLY. She would run ahead into the next gallery and start talking while most of the group was still a room behind. We politely asked her to slow down (both her walking and her speaking) but she said there was nothing she could do because she had to cover a certain amount of ground in the time given and then had the nerve to suggest we return in the winter. It was a complete waste of money. DON'T BOTHER. We left the tour midway through and toured the magnificent Vatican on our own.

We were disappointed with this bus line. The bus was filthy, the seats were ripped, garbage everywhere. There was supposed to be 2 lines - red and blue. Blue not available. We were told the red line would go until 8:00 p.m. but at 6:00 we were told it would not go to our starting point - we had to get off earlier and walk the rest of the way. There are only 8 stops on the red line for the whole city tour. You have to walk far for most attractions.
