We have just returned from our favourite resort - Adams Beach 5* Hotel, Ayia Napa in lovely Cyprus. Can you believe it the September temperature during the time we were there was 30+ decrees C. Just wonderful weather for lounging around the pool or beach and doling as little as possible apart from a little bit of swimming, reading, eating, socialising etc.

The welcome and hospitality as always was second to none and special thanks goes to Andreas Kyriacou (Restaurants Manager) who arranged a special celebratory chateau briand dinner on my birthday. Many thanks also to all the other Managers and staff who contributed to our having such a wonderful Autumn break in the Mediterranean.

Room tip: All the rooms are good

We are currently at the Adams beach hotel and can say that it is a great hotel, everywhere is clean, staff very friendly, pools very nice and are still quite warm seeing as it is October, a taxi driver told us this is their winter time.
Restaurant has themed meals each night which have been nice, Mexican, Italian and obviously Cypriot.
We have only two negatives which are that you can't use the fridge in the room, it is for their own drinks for you to use and then pay for, and the other is if you like to have a tv in your room then there are only two English channels that are both the news.

It’s a difficult one as the hotel it self is ok. The rooms were clean on arrival but the house keeping was shocking. Was tempted to purchase some cleaning products and clean the bathroom myself. Reception were very hostile and tried to bill us for items from the minibar which were never in there on arrival! The food was average and limited choice. The children’s menu was chicken nuggets or pasta with tomato sauce. the last day we were being picked up at 4.30pm so obviously we expect to eat at the restaurant at lunch. We asked a man at reception the day before and he said ‘of course’. We went to lunch at 2.30 and sat down, two minutes into eating, the waiter rushes over and tells us we have to pay. So we all get up and leave. I was not going to pay €70 for three chicken nuggets, a few potatoes and a few pieces of bread. The sad thing is, we see them chuck all the food in bins as soon as lunch is over so not sure what the fuss was about. Hoping my husbands card doesn’t get charged for that meal or there will be problems! On arrival, our two older sons had taken a taxi before us and when we arrived my sons told me there is a €100 deposit per room but when they saw us it went up to €300 each room. My son swears they said €100 to him. We dismissed it but lo and behold, we heard other people getting charged only €100 ! Not impressed at all. You are made to feel like a liar here. Beautiful location though! Just thankful we ate out most of the time .... definitely 3 star at best!!!

As part of a large party (17) we arrived late in the evening to a complete check in shambles. Families and couples had been split up into different rooms and it took a long time - up to 3 hours in total to sort out. By this time everydone was getting very frustrated by the staff’s inability to make a decision on how the rooms were to be reallocated. It may have been the TA’s fault initially but the hotel staff really make things worse. Eventually some rooms were sorted but we were told not to unpack until the manager had sorted things the following day. Not the best start for the Bride & Groom to be.

After some food and a few hours sleep, the rooms were sorted and we could look forward to 2 weeks at the hotel.

We got plenty of time to look at the reception are which is huge with loads of places two sit. The adjoining piano bar was also pretty spacious and very quiet for the whole two weeks. Rooms were spacious and well appointed.

The breakfast was served in an outdoor (undercover) venue. Selection was good and as you would expect in a European hotel. You shared breakfast with the local sparrow population, not nice to see birds pecking at the remains of someone’s scrambled ahh a few seconds after they have left their table.

There’s plenty of sun loungers available, we’ll spaced so you don’t feel crowded. There’s also loads of space of the beach.

We went to the hotel for a wedding, and after the debacle of checking in, we were quite concerned that it wouldn’t run smoothly. How wrong we were. It was perfect. The management and staff were incredible all day and it went like clockwork tanks to their wedding coordinator.

We didn’t eat evening meals at the hotel, instead we chose to visit the wide range of restaurants on the strip between the hote, and Ayia Napa.

The walk is about 30-35 minutes as a gentle pace, or a cab is around €10.

Would decimate visit again because the location and hotel are great.

My room and location were good. But this is strictly a place for families - most visitors are Russian not from Cyprus or Greece - The breakfast area - is a big cafeteria - very disappointing and kind of disgusting. Service not good. The area around the hotel is very congested - beach is rocky - pictures show white sand - its brown. when you are on the lounge by the beach - its like being on a little hill. Not flat - so therefore not comfortable.Nothing warm about this hotel

Thank you for taking the time to review our hotel.

The hotel has it Deluxe wing for Adults only as we well the main building which is for families. In our hotel every year have visitors coming from all over the world. Mostly are coming from European countries.
The hotel is located on Nissi Bay one of the most beautiful beached in Mediterranean sea.
