Description: The Wantirna Hill Club has been part of the landscape of Wantirna for many years and is the home of the Vermont Football Club. Situated on central Boronia Rd, close to Eastlink, the Wantirna Hill Club offers locals a variety of entertainment options. It has all of the facilities that you would expect including a bistro, a brand new kids playroom with a huge jumping castle, TAB & Tavern bar, gaming room and special offers that caters to all tastes and budgets. At the Wantirna Hill Club you will enjoy excellent bistro dining and will be looked after by our friendly staff. There are Members nights, Wednesday Bingo with cash prizes, and our very popular themed bistro nights on Monday, Tuesday & Wednesday. The venue has had a major upgrade of the interior decor which follows on from the extensive work to provide an external open air deck, enlarged lounge facilities, a protected outside smokers lounge, a bistro extension and a brand new kids playroom with jumping castle. We have an energetic and friendly staff, who are keen to show you around the new look bistro and bar. We would love to make your next lunch or dinner out a pleasure and when dining with us, feel free to ask our friendly staff about hosting your next function and your kids party at the club.

came in with friends asked what roast of the day was, I was told pickled lamb, waitress checked with chef was told it is the same as roast lamb, so that's what I ordered, it came out looked the same as corned beef & was covered in a thick white sauce, looked nothing like roast lamb, was very disappointed, I just ate the vegies which being a seniors meal there weren't many, plus they were cold. WON'T BE BACK.

Have just been here for lunch. Ordered a scotch fillet steak medium rare that came out cold with cold chips and cold vegies. The steak which cost $35 was so tough we couldn't eat it. It was full of gristle and fat. It was disgraceful. Had 3 mouthfuls and left. No point complaining to the waiting staff who were run off their feet with the seniors crowd Definitely will not be coming back. Give this place a huge miss.

The hotel has plenty of parking at the back. The bistro is relatively big and spacious with a kids' play area. Service tends to be slow especially at the order counter. The menu says to refer to the specials board for roast of the day but on both occasions I was there for dinner there was no Specials Board to be seen and we had to stop a waitress on her track to find out....not ideal! I have had Indonesian fried rice which was pretty average and on another occasion I ordered the pasta which was not even hot. My husband ordered chicken parmigiana and it was overcooked. However my mother-in-law loved the lamb chops she ordered.

Table so close that you have to hear other peoples conversation and staff had trouble sliding down the aisles. Seniors food...Luke warm sausage , mash and peas...YUKKY because gravy was almost solid and peas were very dry as was the mash. Curry wasnt too bad but again only luke warm and not much flavour. Fish and chips...small and only luke warm and greasy. Bistro Bar was again out of Guinness with staff very slow, probably due to inexperience.
Shopper dockets make it almost worthwhile but only just with tables so close together.

Service was fast
Staff friendly
Meal size was plentiful.
Ordered the Aussie Parmagiana. Far too much BBQ sauce! Completely ruined the meal. Friends on other side of table could smell it!
Way too noisy. Unfortunately our table was near the children's play area. Highly recommend you avoid this space if you don't have children.
Plenty of parking
