We regularly visit eastern Melbourne for social functions, after which we stay the night to avoid a 2h drive home. The Golden Pebble has reasonable rates plus the option of a king-size bed, which we always take. Rooms are always clean and comfortable, although one needs to ask for a quiet room away from the noisy Stud/Boronia Rds. intersection.

Room tip: Ask for back-facing room.

I had a rushed trip - and booked this hotel on a whim via Expedia.

The room was very clean.

Key things for me:
Clean
Quiet
Variety of pillows
Good TV
Balcony
Easy/free parking
Hearing/cooling

This place had all of this and was one of the cheaper places to stay.

It has the added bonus of the big yum cha restaurant downstairs - which is fantastic.

I was on the top floor - so unsure of noise travelling through floor. Road noise wasn’t an issue all.

Was quite cold during my stay - heating system was well equipped.

Parking was easy every night - park, straight up lift to the room.

Would recommend or stay myself again.

We went on a Saturday night and the restaurant was near capacity suggest you book a table. We opted for Banquet B @$48 per head for 6 this was just enough for all of us. The food was fresh and very tasty and service was also good. This is a byo wine only restaurant. Would highly recommended

The room was better than what we expected, not dated at all!
Check in and check out were quick and easy.
Ample parking (underground too).
Very clean and spacious.
We would love to go back if we’re in the area again.

(We were in Room 111)

First time I’ve been to this hotel, first impressions was ok the room was great, front of house staff were helpful and polite, BUT if you don’t like free to air tv and expect Foxtel as an alternative don’t bother looking this place seems to cater for the Asian market they seem to forget that non Asian people stay here and would like to watch non free to air tv in English, also the breakfast area looks like a unused function room and the menu is terrible had breakfast there once and never again ended up going to McDonald’s instead tasted a lot better and you actually get a choice rather than greasy Asian food or “scrambled eggs cooked in oil” the server had an attitude of a wet fish. As for staying here again I would probably pass and find another place to stay, until they get the basics right.
