Port Augusta was an excellent base for a few days to visit the Flinders ranges and surrounding areas from.

Ohhhh that's great Joe. We think it is, as Port Augusta is 10 minutes from the Flinders Ranges, on the door step of the Outback, you can go fishing in our back yard and are only 3.5 hours from Adelaide. So happy you enjoyed your visit to our wonderful City and we hope you are able to visit again in the future. Make sure you come and say hi. Kind regards Pauline

I visited recently and was surprised at the price of the place. I paid over $20 for an adult ticket. Some time ago when the place was new it would have been great. Sadly it is outdated and overpriced. The place does need an overhaul and some investment of money. I wouldn’t return.

Oh that's disappointing Damien, as I am sorry our center did not meet your expectations. I guess our $1 million makeover 10 years ago did not make an impression, albeit the only display which is not current is the Leigh Creek Coal Fields, albeit it is certainly still well used by everyone. It's still great to get feedback of any description but it would be good to know what you believe is outdated. Thanks for taking the time to letting us know. Kind regards Pauline

Having been to Port Augusta many times before we thought we dad done it all but somehow we had missed this place. We rectified it on this trip. To get the most out of this place need to allow couple of hours and take your time. Cant comment on coffe shop as didnt try it but maybe next time.

Great place to visit. Suggest you set aside 2 to 3 hours if you take on the full experience, interacting with all the exhibits. Cafe OK but no more than that. Good range of books and tourist items.
