Description: The Central Hotel, located on the waterfront of Victoria's Gippsland Lakes, is in the center of town. Enjoy a meal in our bistro which specialises in fresh local seafood and local produce. A regular feature for lunch is the 'Parma & Pot' for only $17.50 in the bar is always popular. We serve local gummy shark with a crispy beer batter and crunchy chips for lunch & dinner so if its great fish n chips your after you are in the right place! During the colder months, relax with a glass of red wine by the original open fireplace. In summer enjoy the view from our alfresco outdoor area and if your lucky catch a glimpse of our ever popular dolphins passing by!

This is a true blue pub. Meals aren't fancy but real value for money. We both had the gummy with chips and salad. I had the single serve for $15.50 and my husband added the $6 extra piece of fish.
The meals were plentiful, beautifully cooked and even the salad good. Our accompanying bottle of Yarra Valley Pinot Noir very reasonably priced. Well worth a visit.

Called into the bistro for a mid week lunch. The bistro was clean amd airy. The was a fire going in the fire place and there was a nice view out to the water. The staff were friendly and helpful. Food was good and reasonably priced.

It is very typical of other bistros that we went to. Noisy and lots of families with small children. They serve the typical fish and chips and lots of fried food. Pub beer and wine selection was pretty good.

Thanks for your review, it sounds like you came on a busy night so I apologise for the noise. It is however lovely to sit on the verandah on a nice night, so glad to hear you enjoyed it.

Went here for dinner. Very disappointed with a bill of $62 and food that was very bland.
I had the Pork Risotto and the other meal was local Fish & Chips with salad. The risotto was soggy luke warm and tasteless. The fish and chips with the fish being local were however very nice. However I have tasted better chips.
Have been here for meals before but feel the standard has dropped somewhat especially for the prices charged there.
Would we return.NO. There is better elsewhere even at the takeaways.

VERY DISAPPOINTING! !!!!!! With sticky tables

Wanted a quick, quality meal after arriving in Lakes Entrance. Great, enjoyable 'pub' food served quickly and at a very reasonable price.
