We visited the gardens whilst on a short break in Geelong. We have a 13, 15 and 6 year old. Everyone loved walking through the gardens looking at the variety of plants. Especially when they had grown to a size we had not seen before. The gardens provoked great imagination with all the kids and amazing stories and discussions were held about the different species of plants we saw. The kids also enjoyed finding different insects that live within the gardens. For those who are allergic to bee be careful when walking down the left hand side path. There is a huge Berns nest in the the knot of the tree just past the bottle trees

I visited the gardens on my last visit to Geelong, a couple of years ago, so was keen to incorporate them into this year's trip. The gardens were even better than last time, thanks to some recent rain and warm days. The flowers were amazing. I texted a friend staying nearby and she and her family took my advice and drove over. They were so pleased they did!

Always coming here for a walk or a picnic with friends. It's beautiful and really nice to spend time relaxing in. Also has a cute lil cafe. :)

Been going here since my childhood and it’s amazing to walk around and as a kid lots of places to run and hide but as an adult awesome to relax in.

These gardens are an absolute gem, set near the waterfront and surrounded by natural parkland. There are an amazing range of both native and imported plants including some rarities.
