Work

Stayed here for two nights room was massive and very clean. You do have to pay a 75 dollar pre authorise on your room BUT was very disappointed with this as came in a work group and only two of us had to do this with no other person from our group had to and I went to reception to ask about this and the women just did not get it and didn't help to have this authroised back to card just kept saying will be done after check out. Not very helpful when everyone else didn't have to do it but two of us did. Also asked about this again at check out and lady just advised will go back 24-48 hours. Not very happy about this. Other than that very modern and housekeeping done each day and rooms have a balcony. No cold water in the fridge. Rooms have washer and dryer in bathrooms as well. Bed and Pillows were very comfortable. Just the disappointment in the reception staff and customer service as checking in lady didn't seem to know what was going on. On a side note Ribs and Rumps are out the front and can get this room service. DO not buy anything form here when we walked past after going to the Pub on corner one of the people from RIbs and Rumps cleaner was standing on the cooking grill cleaning the roof and glass. this grill was not cleaned for the two nights three days there DISGUSTING

Thank you for taking the time to write a review on your recent stay at Oaks Grand Gladstone. We are sorry that you were disappointed with regards to our Hotel procedure for the $75.00 pre authorisation security bond. It is Oaks Hotels policy to ask for a pre authorisation for all guests unless your booking arrangements state that the Pre authorisation is covered under a charge back or third party credit card. I can only assume some of your work colleagues bookings were made with this option. The $75.00 pre authorisation is a hold on an account and not a transaction and will disappear after a period of time on your account. To ensure on your next visit that you have minimal issues with pre authorisation may I suggest that your Accommodation booking team provide your booking with " all Charges" covering the pre authorisation.
I will pass on your comments with regards to Ribs & Rumps kitchen team to the venue manager and I am sure he will investigate and review this cleaning procedure. We look forward to welcoming you back to the Oaks Grand Gladstone when you next visit our region.

Amazing

My husband and I stayed at the hotel for just the one night over the weekend. We will be definitely staying again soon.
The hotel was amazing, the room had a fantastic view and they were very clean. It had everything we needed plus more. Christine from the reception was absolutely amazing. She was very friendly and helpful and couldn't do enough for us.

Room tip: High floor, Habour view

The Oaks is Grand

A very good hotel with efficient and friendly staff. Spacious rooms with everything including washing machine & dryer. A good size fridge and freezer. Microwave and stove top. Downstair access to Bars, and restaurants. Walking distance to the Yacht Club

Room tip: Only stayed in one room but it was more than adequate - would suggest bring extra toiletries as they are a bit short on shampoos, soaps etc.

Great hotel

I had a vehicle breakdown while travelling, so was put up in this hotel by road service.
Nice new hotel in central location. Easy to walk to all facilities.
Room was well appointed and stylish. Excellent bed.
Quiet. Good bathroom.
As I was being put up by the road service, and a solo traveller, I believe the room I had was one of budget rooms, however it did not feel like that at all.
Recommended. Nice view.

Well presented and clean

This is a well presented and clean hotel. No restaurant or mini bar but close to Ribs & Rumps for dinner and The Coffee Club for breakfast. Couldn't work out this 100mb free Wi-Fi because it don't recognize me as a guest but not big lose.

Thank you for taking the time to review your recent stay at the Oaks Grand Gladstone. We are pleased that your room was to your satisfaction. The Oaks Grand actually operates both the Ribs and Rumps Restaurant and The Coffee Club and you can enter those outlets via the 2nd floor of the Hotel. You can also charge back to your room from both outlets. The WIFI should recognise you as a guest by logging in under your room number and surname once you have checked in. If you had called the reception (24Hour) we could have assisted you with your WIFI. We look forward to welcoming you back to the Oaks Grand Gladstone when you are next visit our region.
