Despite an exhausting delay stricken flight from Sydney and after clearing customs etc. it was a seamless taxi transfer from the airport to Orari.
We were in bed by 2.30am. Getting down to breakfast, either cooked or continental, at 9am wasn't a problem, being greeted by Jan who made us feel very welcome in this lovely period property. Nothing was too much. Room 6 was a good size with en suite bathroom, adequately heated. We stayed 3 nights in this central location right opposite the Christchurch Art Gallery and close to other amenities. Jan gave us recommendations where to eat and other information. A thanks also to the two other ladies in attendance at various times, always helpful and charming! (Julie and Shirley?).
Would stay here again without thinking twice about it!

Had a wonderful three nights at Orari. We were so well looked after from beginning to end. Nice quiet place, beautiful old house that has been nicely maintained and modernised just right. The breakfasts were delicious, the staff incredibly friendly and helpful, and the location is so central and convenient that we only really used the rental car to go back to the airport! Would definitely stay again.
