Stayed to attend meeting, and a pleasant hotel at a reasonable price. Good room, quiet, and good nights sleep. Restaurant lunch and dinner good. Breakfast choice good as well. Staff helpful, and no problems

This is a nice hotel in good location but it's not cheap.
Good size bedroom with good facilities. But we found our bed to be very lumpy in the middle. The hotel too busy promoting Cookies which they give out when you check in but failing to focus on customer's comfort. The hotel will respond by replying that we should have raised the issue but we shouldn't have to if they regularly carry out basic checks for bed and mattresses.
Beside one negative the hotel was very good.
Reception staffs were welcoming and helpful.
Breakfast was good and also the staffs were good.
Hotel bar staffs were good.
The hotel also did free shuttle/car service to the Centre of Christchurch but it is limited to first come first serve basis so make sure to book. Otherwise it is nice walk across the Central Park. We took advantage of the service inwards and walked back through the Park. Very pleasant walk.
There are restaurant nearby on Riccarton Road.
I would stay here again.

Having been dining at this restaurant for many years and it is always an enjoyable experience. Last evening the waitress noticed our friend was opening presents and asked if it was her birthday. What a great and thoughtful surprise when the desserts arrived our birthday friend received her dessert on a plate with happy birthday written in chocolate and a candle to blow out. We all our enjoyed our well cooked meals and the service was top notch from staff who have been with this Restaurant for many years. They asked were we splitting the bill and then towards the end they gave us each a folder with our individual bill - no mucking around at the till trying to work out who owes what - pity more restaurants don't give this service. Look forward to my next time back. Thanks

Great location within walking distance (20-30 minutes) of several attractions and restaurants. WiFi free. Hotel restaurant a little pricey for our liking. Local restaurants have a wider selection variety.

Had to stay overnight in Christchurch and was surprised by the excellent offers available on the hotel website. Check in was excellent and the room ready although I arrived early. The room was clean and well presented. I walked to the nearest shopping centre and was given a umbrella by the staff as it was showery. Had an excellent breakfast the next morning before starting the next leg of my journey. Friendly and helpful staff in all departments. Would recommend to both solo and family travellers.
