Our two nights at Stonefield were the most comfortable and memorable of our 9day holiday in the south island.
We were celebrating our 50th wedding aniversary and although our other accommodations were great, Stonefield was in a class of its own. The owners were so genuinely friendly and nothing was a trouble to them... David kindly drove into town when we could'nt find our way back and we then followed him home! Our stay in that lovely comfortable home with a superb bed and the delicious breakfasts, was the highlight of our trip and we can only regret that we couldn't have stayed longer. We will always have very fond memories of Stonefrield and its owners Donald and David.

Room tip: Our Nautical suite was spacious and comfortable with lots of storage space.

Stayed at Stonefield for one night and have to stay we were more than satisfied by the standard of cleanliness, comfort and subtle touches of hospitality that made this a very special place to stay. Donald was a fabulous host and made us feel very welcome. Breakfast was fantastic and the special little touches that made are stay truely memorable are the reason we are heading back in February. You really will not be disappointed staying at this wonderful bed and breakfast.

Room tip: Fantastic choice for peace and quiet close to Rangiora

We only stayed one night at Stonefield but we wish it could have been longer. The owners of Stonefield were in the airline industry. If I were to compare the facility to the airlines, Business Class does not do it justice. It was FIRST CLASS!!. The facility was recently built as a B&B. They thought of everything and did it in an elegant & tasteful manner. Most importantly, it sits on about 10 very quiet acres in a very beautiful area. Donald, one of our hosts, anticipates your every need. Directions to & from restaurants & beaches printed out. GPS available. You ask about something & it is there the next minute. He also cooks a great breakfast. We are very picky travelers. This is the best. .

we had planned a stay in Christchurch-city, then that earthquake came. What a shock. But we found a nice retreat in the garden of delight, in David´s and Donald´s tiny Stonefield house, known for exceptional hospitality and readiness for help. We could relax intensively in a exclusive ambience and a cultivated and refined atmosphere. It was a real treat, no doubt about.

As kiwi's passing through Canterbury we were looking for somewhere reasonably priced, quiet and secure. This place surpassed all our expections. It is in a beautiful location, the hosts are friendly & attentive but not intrusive. Included within the price of the gorgeous and comfortable room is an awesome breakfast, wifi, gps for local navigation, over 200 movies, and a glass of wine (in fact almost anything you could possibly need).
