Amazing property. Very well appointed rooms with comfortable beds and pillows, The hotel is quite new so the rooms are very fresh and spacious, plenty of working area with a large desk and ample USB ports and PowerPoints. Beautifully appointed bathroom and shower with good strong water pressure. The room has everything you need for a business or leisure traveller. Room service was super quick. Great location, only a short walk to town. Staff are very friendly and courteous and the cafe downstairs serves excellent coffee and cappuccino. Thank you I will definitely return.

I stayed one night at this hotel as part of a business trip. The really good new is Christchurch can now offer more then one decent hotels in the city that can fit short business trips. This hotel was opened recently and offers a modern and fresh option to the Novotel. All in all the hotel is convenient, well located and has decent size room, a nice restaurant and a good service. I’m very happy with it.

A spur of the moment decision had my wife and I staying at this hotel for the night we booked on Saturday morning via phone and included evening dining in the Marketplace restaurant. On arrival the friendly reception staff told us where we could park and presented us the key to our superior room located on the 12th floor and included a late checkout, on opening the door we were greeted with vistas of the Kaikouras in one direction the sea in another and below the refurbished Victoria Square which we found later that night was graced with an multi coloured illuminated fountain. The room was tastefully decorated the bathroom showed on the video as a glazed box and we were happy to find that it came complete with a modesty blind something that could be put on the website. The Marketplace restaurant was a relaxing environment and we had excellent service from Hamish who recognised us from our last visit on Christmas Day, the ability to create your own dining experience by combing small plates artisan breads, venison, salmon and roasted pumpkin and pear salad were our choices are a plus for this restaurant . We retired for the night and watched the marriage of Prince Harry and Meghan Markle into the wee small hours the bed was very comfy and after a sound sleep we enjoyed a full breakfast a mixture of continental and cooked dishes fare. We found all the team at the Crowne Plaza Christchurch to be very helpful and were delighted to find that the bill for the accomodation, car park and breakfast came to about NZD 150 which when compared to other establishments was real value. Whether you are a visitor to Christchurch or a local who wants a change of scenery this the place to go the night and daytime vistas from your room are a memory you will take with you.

We thought we would treat ourselves to a luxury night after traveling up from Queenstown. The hotel didn’t disappoint it was a lovely room (superior king room). The view was poor(construction sight out our window) but the room was beautiful. The check in staff were great and they are super strict on identification etc. The room was booked in my name and my husband went in and they wouldn’t let him check in. We loved the little mod cons the room featured like the blind window in the shower, ability to watch and listen to tv in the shower! Automatic lights outside the lifts.
The king bed was comfy and the overall feel of the room was cozy.
Breakfast wasn’t the best as it had obviously been sitting for a while and they forgot my husbands eggs! But the staff were lovely.
I would have loved a pool or spa that would have topped it off. The parking is a bit odd (vacant lot next to the hotel) And you have to walk down the street with your luggage to the front of the building ... no drop off point. This I thought let the accommodation down. Signage could be a bit better also. Overall we were happy.

My wife and I were on our honeymoon in New Zealand and we stayed here for one night before heading up to wine country. This is a upscale quality hotel and one of the very best options in the area, with a really great central location. It's just a 2 minute walk to the Cathedral Square and a multitude of other top restaurants, bars, and sights within 5-10 minutes. It appears to be relatively new - every facet of the building is sleek and modern.

Upon checking in, the front desk agent noted that we were on our honeymoon (from when we originally made the reservation), and given that we were an IHG rewards member, they upgraded us to an executive room. Given that I don't really have any IHG points or status, that was pretty great.

Our room was on one of the highest floors and our view overlooked the Cathedral Square with the entire city and the Port Hills in the distance. Really fantastic view. There was a complimentary bottle of New Zealand Pinot Noir waiting for us due to our honeymoon upgrade, that was a very nice touch by the hotel and unexpected. The room itself was high quality. All of the furniture was modern, the bed was fantastic, and the appliances were of recent technology (nice espresso machine too). The bathroom was nice and kept us feeling refreshed throughout our stay.

Overall we were extremely pleased with our stay. Would recommend to anybody visiting Christchurch for any purpose, whether leisure or business.
