We have stayed at a number of Sebel properties over many years and always find them to be well maintained and a consistently high standard. The apartment at the Sebel East Perth was spacious, comfortable and well equipped for our three night stay. We paid a little extra for an upgrade and were very pleased with our room with a view overlooking Claisebrook Cove.
The Sebel is well located with the Perth CAT (Central Area Transit) bus service at the front door and the new Perth Stadium nearby, and a new footbridge nearing completion which will make it a short walk to the new Stadium from the hotel. Across the road from the hotel is a small supermarket and bottle shop and other retail and services businesses. Behind the hotel, facing Claisebrook Cove, there are a number of cafes with a variety of cuisines and a hotel restaurant and bar, as well as dedicated walking paths along the Swan River.
We spent a day at the Western Australia Art Gallery and, being a warm and sunny day, we decided to walk back to our accommodation, which only took about 20 minutes.
The only negative as the Environment Department had been conducting controlled burn-offs and the smoke drifted in the the hotel's direction which limited the times when we could sit on the balcony and enjoy the location and outlook.More
