The Windsor hotel is a period hotel that is clean, welcoming and professionally staffed. Not hard to think that the decor needs to be updated.. however, see past the creams and beige's and the old lifts, the hotel is beautifully finished, perfecly located for the MCG and the funky part of town for all things in good food.

Dear James...C,

Thank you for taking the time to review your stay for the Tripadvisor community. Most appreciated.

In early 2017 we have a planned refurbishment to rejuvenate The Windsor and maintain its place as Melbourne's premier hotel. I hope we may welcome you back both before and after that occurs.

Yours sincerely,

Joe

The hotel does not have a modern appearance but has everything you could want. The room was huge and had a separate lounge and dining. Staff were very respectful and accommodating. Would definitely stay there again. Valet services made parking easy and the hotel is located perfectly at the top of the city

Dear Karlie...C,

Thank you for your review to the Tripadvisor community. Indeed we are definitely not a modern property, and we emphasis our rich history from the 19th century at every turn.

Very pleased to hear our staff were so efficient and pleasant. I hope we may welcome you back for some more old fashioned charm and grace soon.

Yours sincerely,

Joe

We spent a wonderful weekend here, staying in one of the Windsor suites (4th floor). It was so lovely - understated elegance, spacious, gorgeous views across to Parliament and along Spring Street. Friendly attentive staff. It was just a pleasure beginning to end. Tasteful and classic.

The room was nice and large, bed super comfy with a pillow menu featuring 9 that you could try and buy to take home if you like! Very helpful staff happily delivered a jug of fresh milk. Good marble bathroom with shower over the bath and excellent hair drier.
Opposite the Parliament and 1 min from the tram/trains and on the door step to the restaurant district.

Wonderful, attentive staff, who actually use your name & genuinely seem to like their job. Lovely old furniture & authenticity about the hotel. Bedding was top notch. Free wifi & newspapers. Valet parking expensive but worth it for us.

Dear Sir/Madam,

Thank you for choosing The Windsor. Genuine and attentive are wonderful adjectives for any employer to hear about their staff. We shall ensure our team hears about your generous feedback.

I hope you don't mind me adding a side note. Our valet parking is $50 per night, with unlimited entries/exits per day. Although this may seem expensive if compared to other cities for the Melbourne CBD our price is very competitive with other 5Star properties.

I hope its not long before we may welcome you back.

Yours sincerely,

Joe
