This is really something else and for those who like Instagram photos, there is no more perfect place. We saw many animals here - especially seals and it really is fabulous. A nice easy walk to the arch on a boardwalk which has been beautifully designed to not hurt the nature of the area. Some excellent facts as you make your walk. You really can spend hours here to really enjoy the ambience.

Beautiful views and it was an unexpected bonus for us to see lots of seals here. The Admiral’s Arch would make for amazing photos at the right time of day. We enjoyed hiking the whole area and reading all the historical information.

A nice easy boardwalk takes you down from the carpark to the oceanside cliffs. From there you'll have to traverse a series of stairs to view the Arch. There are viewing platforms along the boardwalk to take in the views.

The Arch itself is very cool to see, and worth the trip, but even more interesting is the Fur Seal colony. We watched the pups sliding down worn grooves in the rocks, playing in the water, chasing each other across rocks, and feeding. Admittedly, we didn't stop in at Seal Bay to make a comparison, mostly because after everything we saw here we didn't feel we needed to. Lots of effort has been put into creating a safe and easy boardwalk for access.

After a long drive from Kingscote I was ready to have my socks knocked off by some natural wonders. They were not knocked off. The roaring ocean is always cool, the seals are awesome to watch and the info along the walk was interesting but was left wanting more when I got to the arch. Devils arch and surrounding area in TAS is much more awe inspiring, and the cliffs along the three peaks walk in Freycinet NP is the way to go. So go there instead. Sorted.
