We booked a room and expected a nice room with a view and a comfortable bed. We arrived to find that we were put in a room on the ground floor with no view and located in the back corner. We had to leave as the bed was hard and uncomfortable. The manager refunded the rest of our booking. The hard part was to then find alternative accommodation.Be sure when you book to ask for a higher level room looking towards the coast. If this is helpful please tick the helpful box.

Room Tip: Choose a high level with sea views.

We booked a 2 bedder for a few days before attending my sisters wedding on Fitzroy Island. The hotel is in a great location and was a decent size with all u need. The pool area was also good with a spa and sauna.
Sadly the cleanliness let it down. It is cheaper accomodation but I felt like the upkeep was lacking. I feel the place could be a great option if maintenance was carried out regularly and the apartments were cleaned to the standard they should be.

We had a two bedroom garden apartment. The apartment we stayed in (15) was on the third floor and had garden views. The complex itself is quite nice, the pool and gardens are well maintained and beautiful.

Our apartment was at the rear of the complex so didn't have the best views, could see the water from the balcony in the living room, views of the hospital from the master bedroom, views of the road from the second bedroom. The apartment was huge, though a little worn, the carpet was in need of a good clean, I didn't want to walk on it barefoot. Couches were near impossible to get out of they were so soft!

Sadly the bathroom could have done with a good scrub, the basics were clean, the white vertical blind on the window in particular was filthy thick with dust (the cleaner had turned it the other way so you couldn't notice as much dirt), the shower curtains were showing signs of black mould along the bottom. The basins, toilet, tiles and shower area were very clean.

The master bedroom is huge, very spacious, the bed was comfortable, plenty of pillows, having space and drawers for clothes. The second bedroom was well appointed with plenty of drawers and hanging space.

Overall the apartment was big and comfortable.

The location is quite good, with a short walk to restaurants and supermarkets and around a 20 minute walk into Cairns city.

We really enjoyed our stay here, my husband thinks I'm being too harsh about the cleanliness aspect, and it didn't really affect our stay.

Room Tip: Ask for a room at the front of the complex.

We stayed here last weekend for 3 nights, a group of 4 girlfriends on a short break. It was comfortable, clean and only a short walk to cafes and restaurants, opposite the walking paths. We couldn’t have asked for more. Two bedrooms and two bathrooms, two balconies. Management was helpful and even had umbrellas that we could borrow (it rained most of the time we were there). Would definitely recommend this place.

Room Tip: Facing the Esplanade and looking across to the water.

181 was a lovely place to stay in and can highly recommend . We had a ground floor room overlooking the courtyard which was absolutely beautiful. The apartment was spacious and car parking safe and secure underground with plenty of parking upstairs on the ground floor for visitors.
