We visited Crown Plaza on our last night in Alice. After spending a week in a motorhome, this place felt luxurious!
The staff were a bit slow, or perhaps confounded by their snail pace computer system? So checking in did take an extraordinary amount of time...
However I really enjoyed the stay. The mini bar is fully stocked for those of you who like that sort of stuff, the room service menu was comprehensive and reasonably priced. I thought our room was very well priced, compared to some of the hotels/places on offer.
Everything was clean and modern.
One design flaw was that our shower didn't drain as it should, and therefore we had a river of water flowing beyond the shower towards the drain in the bathroom floor.
The bed was huge, my pillow soft.
I slept well. I would stay here again, no question.

While the buildings are getting on a bit, The rooms are fairly nice and have everything you need. The restaurant next door where breakfast is held is a nice space although quite small. An issue that we realised on the first night when the restaurant was booked out for dinner. I would stay here again, although I don't think there is a lot else to choose from

I chose this hotel because it was featured as the final destination in the movie, The Adventures of Priscilla: Queen of the Desert! While the hotel and casino were not showcasing a fabulous floor (which I knew before I booked), my stay was very enjoyable. I had a beautiful newly renovated room, the casino and it's restaurants and bars were right there as well as room service options. It's not right in town, however they do have a shuttle and it's not far in a cab (or a 15-20 minute walk). The airport transfer didn't work for me as it doesn't start for the day until later than my flight (I was flying with Virgin), however the staff were happy to call me a taxi.

The lift was not working the whole week. Staff did not offer to help get luggage upstairs. TV has six stations and remote did no work. The casino area is full of drunk Aborigines. One evening we went for a drink and an Aboriginal woman tried to steal a bottle of rum. There was screaming and a fight. Very disturbing. My wife was scared to go to the restaurant.
The food at the Juicy whatever is not edible.
The room was clean and comfortable. They need rubber mat in the shower before someone gets hurt. Very nice pool and swim area.

Rooms were lovely - pool great - maybe a few more deck chairs would be beneficial and the food in the Tali restaurant was excellent. Staff on arrival was a trainee - couldn’t find our booking but he was very good to sort it all out. Really enjoyed our stay
