Artwork was stunning and the explanation of the caterpillar dreaming when walking through the sculpture was very informative.
Unfortunately we went on a Sunday afternoon so a lot of the museums had closed early (2pm)

This gallery is in the same precinct as the museum of Central Australia and the aviation museum. A wonderful display of local art. The works of Albert Namatjira, but also other family members and other local artists. Out of respect I didn’t take any photos inside, but I was interested in the Namatjira Family tree of artists – amazing. The stain glass is in the public area

I've visited Araluen on previous trips to Alice, and each time, have been quietly seduced into the immense expanse of Culture that is on offer. From the stunningly wonderful water colours of Albert Namatjira, to the more recent and contemporary Groundswell exhibition. All awe inspiring, and each containing their own message with the ability to reach within the viewer. And to visit, and not go outside into the garden, to read the message on the sandstone rocks, and to experience the stillness of the Sacred Site that is so incredibly close by, would be an absolute travesty. Such a privilege.

A great array of artwork, including paintings by Albert Namatjira. Different styles of art, made for a feast for the eyes!

There happened to be a great exhibition of indigenous art when we were here. Also other things to see around the precinct including a small air museum which had some interesting planes and history.
