This hotel was great. We booked this hotel to it's closeness to the Opera House and the ferries to the zoo. We also wanted to see Vivid. The parking garage was right next door and only $25.00 per day. The hotel staff were all very friendly. The room extremely clean we had two rooms. The bed and pillows very comfortable and the mattress looked new. The room had a ironing board, hair dryer and iron. The stay also came with a light breakfast in the morning which included coffee, tea, juices, nice fruit tray, hard boiled eggs, patties and choice of cereals. The halls are narrow not sure about wheel chair access but this hotel answers all questions quickly. Our two rooms were over the bar but the bar closes down early enough and did not keep us awake. Would definitely stay here again. Nice menu for the hotel restaurant.

Room Tip: Can't beat the location for the Opera House, zoo and walking about Sydney.

Far exceeded my expectations. I look forward to staying there again in the future. Close to transport, beautiful food and drinks downstairs at the pub.
This is not your average hotel and don’t let the price fool you, this place is better than most hotels in he city. It also came with breakfast! What a pleasant surprise.

Such a great location in the heart of The Rocks and adjacent to Circular Quay which means the Opera House and the Harbour Bridge are a stone's throw away. The layout is tricky with many corridors and sets of stairs, but there is a lift to each of the floors. The room was small even though I had paid extra for a room with an en-suite. There was a bar fridge in the room which was noisy overnight, and tea and coffee making facilities - chocolates on the pillow at night was a lovely touch. The continental breakfast included in the price was great and served downstairs in The Push Bar. They offer a discount at The Push and Fortune of War for Russell Hotel guests. Such a great location makes up for some of the short-comings of this hotel.

Room Tip: Check details on your booking site for accurate room description e.g. shared bathroom

What a great budget hotel, room was small but clean, bed was comfy, bathroom was recently renovated & was brilliant. If you want to chill out there's a great roof top area with a great view of the coat hanger (Harbour Bridge), there's also a large beautiful sitting area on the 1st floor with a balcony if the pub isn't your scene.
The piano bar on the ground floor is cosy & very inviting, the staff are awesome. If you prefer the pub scene the Fortune of War is right next door & accessible through a passage way.
There's also subsidised secure parking right next door, the hotel also has a lift for those less mobile.
The Russell is also right in the hub of the rocks so there's Circular Quay, the Opera House, Harbour Bridge all within an easy walk.

Room Tip: A great hotel without the expense
