Visited October 2017

We knew it was out of season and contacted hotel to see if outdoor pool would be closed they said it would be but that they had an indoor pool with a rooftop solarium in the wellness centre that was open. However on arrival we found out €15 per person only gets you 3 hours in the wellness centre and the small solarium has only 6 chairs. The indoor pool is a bit dated and small. The weather was fabulous and whilst I understand the locals consider it cold they should know their customers are on holiday and there are plenty of places in the gardens where it would be nice to sit on sun loungers. There are also larger rooftop terraces with speakers playing music but no loungers or chairs to sit on!
The hotel is quite tired looking but comfortable, water pressure in the shower was quite poor if you wanted hot water, you only get one door key for your room.
We had half board and as there was no restaurant open close by this was worth it as the food was lovely, however there was only 2 choices for each course and we were asked to order at breakfast.
There is a supermarket opposite the hotel but this was closed for the season too and there wasn't much evidence of many restaurants or bars close by that would have been open even in high season without a 15 minute walk.
There was no bar and after dinner had finished around 10 we were asked to leave the restaurant area so had to go back to room.
While reception were helpful enough and gave us plenty of info for buses etc they were all quite abrupt and unfriendly. Staff in the restaurant were much better. For a short stay as a base to return to after sightseeing it was adequate.

Dear guest,
we are glad that you appreciated the staff and restaurant service. The access to the wellness centre is indicated on our catalogue. We will consider your suggestion to create solarium area in the garden and we hope to see you again in our hotel.

The resort is lovely, particularly the pool area. It is very much a beach type holiday resort. Calambrone is smaller than a village, Tirrenia is a little bigger but is 3km away. There is nowhere even to hire bikes. The local bus service is excellent- €2 to Livorno and Pisa.

This hotel is very well kept with beautiful pool and gardens. It is within easy reach of airport and free wifi is great. Our only issue was the advertisement of free parking, then they want to charge you 8 euro a day. The free parking outside hotel is for the general public not reserved to hotel so very hard to find a space. The staff in pool bar not very friendly and quite expensive. The lifeguards, restaurant and reception staff all very nice.

First night of 10! A little surprised to say the least considering what I am paying for two rooms. Wifi - only allows access on two units! 1 bar of wifi in the room and that's standing in a corner. Room keys - 2 people in a room, €10 deposit for the second key. Deposit for for pool towels! €10 per person for the beach access a day! Parking €10 per day. Gym - works the same time as the wellness center which is at 16:00! So far not impressed((

The resort is spotless! Great bar and pool. Plenty of sun loungers for the guests. The pool was quiet and relaxing - a few families. Our room was big and very clean. The decor was a little bit dated but still a great room with lots of space to unpack. There was a fridge, great air conditioning, black out blinds, free wifi and a good breakfast. We hired a car so visited near by towns for dinner. The staff were lovely. No complaints. This place is perfect if you are looking for a relaxing quiet holiday.
