Off the beaten track but easy to find. Busy little pub that looks from the outside as if it had been converted from an ordinary house. Warm and welcoming and a good choice of Wye Valley ales. They offer a carvery from 12 til 2. I’d say you should probably book as they were busy.
It was good tasty food, nothing fancy and that’s exactly what we were looking for. Portion sizes were excellent. Lamb or beef were on offer with homemade onion sauce, cauliflower cheese, roast and boiled potatoes, cabbage, carrots, peas and homemade stuffing and Yorkshire’s. We had autumn crumble and treacle tart with ice cream for dessert, both were delicious. We will definitely go back.
