We had an amazing meal here for my mother in law's birthday. We were a large group but the service and the food were fantastic. My seabass and damson brulee were delicious. Nothing was too much trouble for the staff and they kept on bringing side dishes and veg until we were full. Highly recommended - you won't be disappointed!

Three adults and a 3 year old went for Saturday lunch. The pub is very much off the beaten track, but definitely worth the trip. We had a very warm welcome. All the staff were chatty. The food was delicious. So many flavours. We all had different meals, but they were all first class. The 3 year hold had chicken goujons, which were homemade and looked fab. Apart from the children's meals, the children can have smaller portions from the main menu. We only had room for one course, because the portions were filling. However, sandwiches and soup are also, available, if a snack is only wanted The staff were also thoughtful ensuring the food for the child had cooled slightly before serving, so that he would not burn. When we are next in the area, we will definitely visit again.

I visited this lovely country pub for a business lunch. I was greeted by lovely staff and shown the menu which was comprehensive. I opted for a lovely beef sandwich and chips which also came with a mixed salad. Service was excellent and food was presented nicely. Would certainly go to this pub again.

This is a pub and restaurant run by the same owners for at least 20 years. Norman runs the pub and is always friendly and efficient. His wife Janet manages the kitchen. There are two dining areas, one in the bar area and one is a separate proper dining room. The food is always good. The menu is on a blackboard in the pub and it's fun to have a beer with the locals and then retire to the dining room for a quiet meal. I used to live in the area and had dinner there every week. Revisited it two weeks ago and the quality is still evident.
