Room was very small, and very “beaten”. Could do with a sprucing up, paintwork was grubby, and handles hanging off.
Bugs in the room too, which gave me itchy vibes.
Gym was very small, which is fine, but because it was next to the pool, it was incredibly warm. No air con.
Actual staff were lovely whenever I spoke with someone, the meeting room was fine, and the building in which breakfast, lunch etc was served was nice enough.

We stayed here as it was a Poultons Park overnight stay hotel on a Thursday evening. The room was to a good standard however the restaurant experience was poor.
We waited 45 minutes for a drink and drinks came out after the starters, with no apology offered. This service continued throughout the meal as in waiting ages for a drink

Strange layout throughout, which we were aware of from other review sites. All staff friendly. Service sub-par and just could do with a shake-up and someone obviously in charge to keep everyone on their toes. Reception staff attentive and helpful. General cleanliness ok, but our bathroom mirror was not clean. The little things let it down.

Just got to share!. Want to express our gratitude to a receptionist called Amber who was so welcoming, friendly, helpful, smiley and I felt that Amber really enjoyed her job. We had a laugh as there was a mix up in food deliveries but Amber sorted it out. Amber was so professional in her work, and had to deal with a grumpy customer before me. I was so impressed with all the staff when we visited for a wedding. Please send this review to Amber. Thanks. Alan
Beautiful old building and lovely gardens. We stayed in the Franklyn Suite and were woken at 5.30am by an endless stream of trolleys, bbqs, vans and staff rattling past our windows.
Never stayed at an hotel where reception can’t book a taxi either - most unhelpful staff :(
