The hotel was generally very good with clean rooms and attentive staff. There was a good selection of food for breakfast and dinner on a buffet style service. The access to the town is very steep and would not suit people with walking difficulties. The only drawback was that the Wi-Fi was only intermittent.

Room Tip: Rooms on floors 1-3 have better views of the lake.

This was our fifth visit to this Hotel and
It still lives up to its name.
Beautiful location with stunning views across Lake Garda.I cannot find fault with it, the rooms are comfortable and are cleaned spotlessly every day.
The food is excellent with a wide choice.
A special mention to the Maitre D’ Dario and his staff in the restaurant who provide a first class service.also the bar staff especially Rocio & Brixhilda .and last but not least the girls on the reception who are very helpful, any problems with the wi-fi Michaela is the expert.
I have no hesitation in recommending this Hotel to anyone Limone itself is a charming little town for anyone looking for a good jeweller then John Rasmussen is well worth a visit.
We will definitely be returning in the not too distant future.

Slight lie to say no change there was a big change - nearly all the staff were new but the staff from gardener, to room cleaners, to reception, to bar staff, to restaurant staff - were all as friendly as usual and could not do enough for you.
The food was still great with a good choice for both breakfast and evening meal. Apart from a couple of days there were no repeats on the menu which is unusual in a holiday hotel.
Views from the hotel are exceptional and it's location even though up a short steep hill is great for access to the village and the ferry port.
No problems getting beds by thepool although that will probably change in July and August.
Will we vist again - YES.

This hotel is well named as it is indeed a splendid hotel. The location is wonderful and the views from our room balcony, the dining room and cocktail bar was outstanding! The staff in all areas of the hotel were super friendly and professional. Our room which had been recently refurbished was large, clean, comfortable and well equipped. The food in the restaurant was delicious. Great quality across the board - wonderful pasta dishes, lovely selection of starters/salads, delicious meat and fish dishes, and lots of choices for desserts as well as a selection of cheeses. Oh yes and wine, beer, soft drinks and water were included in the price which was a nice surprise! We just loved our holiday here and have recommended it to our friends.

I visited Hotel Splendid Palace with my youngest daughter. We stayed for ten nights and couldn’t fault the hotel. We had a refurbished room in the annex which was small but spotlessly clean and quite adequate as we didn’t spend much time in there, it is a bit of a trek to the bar and dining room but you soon get used to it. The hotel is ideally situated for the short walk into,Limone and the ferries but you do have to walk down some steps from the swimming pool area which we were able to do.

The food at the hotel was excellent, we had half board and both breakfast and dinner were of a high standard with a very good selection and my daughter who is vegetarian also found a good choice at both meals and it was a bonus having free drinks. The red and rose wine were good but I personally didn’t care for the white. We also had two wonderful gala dinners. One of the nice things we found was that you served yourself to starters and dessert but you were served to your main course and vegetables. The staff in the dining room were polite and friendly and worked very hard, in fact all the staff were good and especially the bar staff who also worked really hard during happy hour. It was also lovely to have a cup of tea and biscuits between 4 and 5 when you came back from sightseeing.

Lots of people seem to go back to this hotel year and after year and were very friendly and we found there were quite a few younger people there.

We booked through Tui and they do a guided walk around Limone which was informative and we also went on their trip to Verona and had an excellent guide. We went on lots of boat trips to Malcesine, Bardolina, Sirmione and Riva but there is also plenty to do in Limone if you like walking. We went to Limone de Castel which is a restored lemon garden with a museum. We also walked to the far end of Limone and walked up beside a waterfall. There is also a very good supermarket when you get to the road.

I would certainly go back to hotel Splendid Palace and Limone as it is so quaint and very calm and peaceful.
