Sometimes you come across a little gem of a hotel. Dunmore House Hotel was one of those. I stayed there for 1 night for business while down in Cork. Views were amazing staff very friendly and helpful and food as good as anywhere. Beautiful sun rise in the morning and even in winter I can imagine this location having a great feel of warmth and home comforts. The bedroom was perfect and very modern. Only a short hop from some of the best beaches I would say in Ireland. Well worth a visit. And yes I will be back.

Family run, very friendly hotel in a stunning location.
I had a sea view room with a very, very comfortable bed. Lovely clean bathroom with lots of toiletries and fluffy towels.
The breakfast at Dunmore is one of the best I have had, delicous homemade breads and great ideas with frush fruit, poached pears, stewed rhubarb etc.
Dinner in the bar is also excellent, especially the steak.

Room Tip: view from the seaview rooms is stunningly beautiful.

As their brochure says the only thing we overlook is the sea. That is very true. From booking to check out we were looked after superbly. The staff are the backbone of this hotel. Very efficient in a lovely casual way and not straitlaced as you get in places. From the moment we walked in the door we got that warm welcoming feeling. Nothing was too much for them. Food to die for. Try the fish platter. Sit with a drink and watch the waves crash on the rocks outside. Walk to a lovely little beach up the road. We were given a loan of two sets of golf clubs and played golf in a beautiful scenic setting. Our room was superb looking right out to sea, very comfortable with coffee machine provided. Just go here and try for yourself. You wont be disappointed. Thank you to owners and staff for providing this quality of service to your customers. You deserve to be very successful.

Our son's wedding reception was held at the wonderful Dunmore House Hotel in August. We had the pleasure of staying there for 3 nights. During our stay we found the staff were excellent and very friendly. The Reception was beautifully arranged and organised by the staff and you can see why they have won an award for their venue. The food throughout our stay, and during the Reception, was superb. The breakfasts, bar food and evening meals were all prepared to a very high standard - the desserts were mouthwatering! Thank you so much to everyone at Dunmore for a memorable stay, we will come back one day.

Room Tip: The sea views are wonderful.

Arrived at Dunmore house hotel after hard day of cycling up and down hills. Room very spacious with fabulous view over bay.Enjoyed a fabulous meal that night in the dinning room which again had great views. Had the pate to start which was the nicest I've ever tasted - so light . Steak excellent served with good selection of veg and potatoes. Staff extremely helpful and friendly. Nothing to much bother. Great nights sleep followed by fabulous breakfast with lots of choice. Tried seaweed for 1st time - actually very nice. Would strongly recommend this hotel especially to weary cyclists!!!
