A Wonderful Find

5.0 of 5 bubblesReviewed 23 Aug 2016via mobile
Had the Pleasure of staying here for a Week in July on a Business Trip.

Set in the Wonderful area of Hamble and just 5mins walk to the local Train Station and Bus stops just over the road.

The Rooms are in an Annexe at the back of the Inn.
Very Clean and Modern in Appearance. ( Make sure you ask for a Room at the back of the Inn)

The Restaurant, situated in the Pub is very Clean and Has a Bistro feel to it.

But the surprise For this place is the outstanding Quality of the Food that is served.
Simply put 5****
Never have I experienced such A high standard of Dishes served every night, each just sublime with Flavours, Textures and cooked to perfection.

But the great thing is that the quality of the breakfast is just as high.
All cooked to order and served to the highest quality.

So if ever in Hamble I can only Highly recommend that you stay/ Dine here.
You will not be disappointed

First-rate food, and a wonderful welcome! Due to its being so busy, however, we had to go into what I believed to be the frontage conservatory - and did so with huge trepidation as it was a sunny day, and I was expecting the room to be far too hot, but, to our delight, the glass box has an ingenious louvered roof that keeps you surprisingly cool - so, what was good, got even better: it's a cracker of a venue!

We arrived about 7pm after a very long drive. The check in was very quick and easy and the lady who checked us in was very helpful. She booked us into the restaurant later that evening and gave us information about the area.
The room was lovely and clean with a nautical theme. The only one downside, it did get a bit to hot at night. And was a bit noisy with the window open, but once i got to sleep was very comfortable.
Breakfast, whish is included in the room rate, was very good. There is a choice of pastries, cereals and juices with waitress service on hot food.
The bar area is lovely. Very comfortable seats and very relaxing.
If we cruise from Southampton again i would definatly stay here.

I was very well looked after on a night out before a sailing trip. The hotel is so well located minutes walk from the marina. Comfortable room and great service. I require a GF diet. The staff were aware, understanding and made sure my meal was served separately. Lovely meal.

We were staying nearer by & after consulting the AA pub guide and trip adviser we booked a table for 2 here. First off the service was good, two or three of those who served us were really friendly and helpful. The 'table for 2' seating area was cramped, with very little room for one of the party to squeeze past and sit down ... The wifi was good. Our starters were fine, the king Prawns were fresh .... my reason for an average rating were the main courses, I had the fish & chips and it was poor, the chips very dry & the fish batter was under done ... Almost yellow in colour .... so all in all I was expecting a better main meal. The rest of the experience was good, but after all it's the main course that should set the standard .... maybe we just got the night the main chef was on leave?

Have stayed here a couple of times. For family party. Rooms are clean and comfortable breakfast is great and staff are very helpful. Price reasonable too. Rooms nicely decorated. There is lots of nearby things to do too. I prefer the rooms inside the main building add that are more oldy worldy. Some nice maritime decor.
