On arriving early in the morning, we found the staff to be most helpful and informative. The bed was very comfortable, the room was clean and welcoming. The shower was wonderful. Our breakfast was absolutely delicious.

Room tip: Lovely and clean, a welcome shower and a very comfortable bed at the end of a sight seeing day.

Wonderful room and great food for breakfast with plenty of choice if you dine in the evening.. Staff really nice and friendly. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Located in a pub so the usual pub activities so expect some noise.

From location to meals this place has it all.
The staff are young and informal but attentive. Greeted with an hello even though they were serving some one else makes a real change.
The selection of beers, wines and spirits is varied and the food well prepared and great value.
The garden is limited and a draw in a warm night, too many dogs for my liking ( 1 is too many ) but well behaved.

This is a great, fairly high-end, pub. It has a good range of food and drink, cosy indoor and pleasant outdoor spaces, friendly and helpful staff. The two bedrooms I saw are huge and well-appointed, with lovely bathroom products and nice touches such as 'real' tea and coffee. The breakfast was delicious.

Room tip: When booking, check the position of your room in relation to the bar as sounds travels in old buildings.
