I stayed 1 night at the Hurt Arms. It was immediately obvious on arrival that the Hurt Arms had recently had a major revamp and upgrade. The public areas are stylish and the rooms are well equipped, comfortable, spotlessly clean, and attractively decorated. The staff were all friendly and attentive, the breakfast was excellent - so, all in all, a very enjoyable stay at a very reasonable B&B price.

Lovely atmosphere really nice refurb very up-to date. Nice selection of gin and beer.
The restaurant was full but we were given the option of outdoor eating. Limited choice on the menu but very nice. The burgers are tasty and well presented in cardboard boxes.

Thank you for your recent review of The Hurt Arms.

It's great to hear about how lovely you found the atmosphere and you like our refurbishment, with of course the nice selection of gins and beers. It's lovey to hear that you were offered alternative options as the restaurant was full and that you found the burgers tasty. I will ensure to pass you comments on to the team at The Hurt Arms as they always appreciate any feedback given to them.
many thanks for your review and we look forward to seeing you again soon.

After missing the breakfast we visited here for a light lunch and found it had been overhauled quite nicely. Really friendly staff but I personally thought the menu was a bit difficult to order from so ended up just having cheese and biscuits. It was very obvious the refit had cost a lot of money but it felt a little bit over done to me but it had been done well. Will definitely go back and try something more substantial for a meal and hope its enjoyable.

Thank you for your recent review of The Hurt Arms.

It's great that you find our "overhaul" nice and that you have found the staff friendly. We always push for the best possible customer service and it's great to hear when our guests let us know about it. We do change our menus seasonally and we do take customer feedback on board to better the venue. We look forward to welcoming you back again, once again many thanks for your review.

Family Sunday lunch in celebration of my granddaughters 3rd birthday. Lovely new refurb. Fabulous lighting in the new annex sadly let down by poor service and mediocre cold food.
We mentioned that the food was cold and was generously given a 15% discount. Wouldn't recommend

It's great to see that you love our new refurb as much as we do, it is always great to get feedback from our customers too. It is such a shame that you experienced poor service and mediocre cold food. I will ensure to pass all your comments onto the management and kitchen teams with regards to this. Thank you for bringing this to our attention on the day where fresh meals were done for you as well as the 15% discount card that you can use again in the future. We appreciate customers letting us know if something is wrong whilst they are there then, like for your party, we can do something about it. I hope the second lot of meals were more up to the standard we expect.

thank you once again for your review and I hope that you will return and see that we do take all feedback on board.

Recently took 8 people here, it has had a full refurbishment and is very 'smart' and trendy. The service by our waiter and waitresses was excellent, they were polite, smiling and helpful. There was a good choice of food on the menu and for once a good choice for vegetarians. The only let down was when we left we had to run the gauntlet of 8 smokers who were on the steps at the main door, perhaps the management should keep an eye on this !,,
