Colonata is famous for its lardo. Basically pig fat with salt and other herbs preserved in salt . It is served thinly sliced and served with bread . Order a salumi platter and get a nice variety of excellent salamis and lard and procsuitto freshly sliced . wash it down with a glass of wine and you will have enjoyed a good snack or lunch. Its not a fancy place , plastic is dominant in the service . But the quality is second to none . The ladies working are friendly and helpful. The cost is small for excellent meats.
