Perfect location for those walking SDW. Bed comfortable. Breakfast and pre-ordered sandwiches were good. Simple but perfect for task

We stopped here for lunch on our South Downs Way walk because we knew they served vegan food. We had a very tasty sandwich and tea in a very popular place.

We stayed here for the hostel as part of our walk of the South Downs Way. The facilities were excellent - fab kitchen with boiling water on tap, a wide selection of games and books and a communal area with tv combined with benches for eating meals. The ethos of the centre is kind of inspiring and there’s clearly a lot of hard work going into all the other areas they offer such as educational courses. The rooms were plain as expected but warm and comfy with hot showers and even the treat of a bath! I would definitely come back here.

Lovely site, especially in summer and autumn, with huge copper beech trees and lots of rugged walking. Vegetarian cafe on site with delicious local coffee.

This is a good place to stay if you're walking or cycling along the South Downs Way.

It looks like an old army barracks with rooms consisting of old squaddies quarters. The beds are standard issue and comfortable enough.

The cafe also on site provides a good range of options along with fantastic cake. Highly recommended!
