It is really lovely to be able to stay in beaut accommodation in the Australian Bush, it's even better when the accommodation is next to a great micro-brewery!
Had 2 nights at the Otway Estate and was really happy with the large cabins set in beautiful bush surrounds. The Cabins have a great bedroom, large bathroom, laundry facilities and a large fully equipped kitchen. Our cabin also had a large spa bath in the living area which isn't really our go but I'm sure plenty of others would love it. The only slight let down was a not overly comfortable couch, would suggest a proper couch or a couple of armchairs would be a huge improvement. We took our dog with us who was spoilt rotten by the trampoline bed with really comfortable and cosy mattress and cover that also came with it, her own food bowls and doggy treats with her name on the label, a lovely touch. The owners even provided a towel to dry her off, although it's still incredible dry in the Colac area, and a collar with the property details which is a nice idea should your dog wander off. We did draw the line at buying her a doggy Beer - maybe next time?
Colac is about 10 minutes drive and has a number of restaurants and pubs for dinning, although we chose to get supplies at one of the numerous supermarkets and cooked up our meals back at the cabin.
One of the nice bits was no phone or Wi-Fi coverage in the cabin, although you can get Wi-Fi at the reception area at the brewery a quick walk through the vineyard from the cabins

Fantastic beer and cider with the most friendly and helpful staff! Great to see limited release beers and cider available on tap to, alongside the already great line up of beer and cider! Always a pleasure to visit. And dog friendly to!!!

Absolutely loved the stay and will definitely want to return. Nice and secluded but still close enough to go into town. Staff were very hospitable. Just wish there were a few luxuries like tissues and dressing gowns available.

We weren,t staying so cant comment on the accommodation. Second visit so husband could sample the paddles of beer again. Husband happy! Restaurant no longer in operation unfortunately but still has pleasant light lunches to accompany the beer or wine. Only 1 staff member on duty day we visited so service rather slow. But friendly.

Lovely cabin, well situated. In floor spa bath, log fire and estate wines and beers all contributed to an excellent stay. Let down by the cheap furniture and the kitchen equipment. Not a teaspoon in the place!!! Would recommend for a romantic weekend.
