Stones and steps to get on beach but a lovely beach very clean.
Run by national trust .
Cafe at the top near car park and coastal path.

Loved this beach, with a mix of sandy bays, rock pools and sand dunes. The lifeguards were highly visable, and active. We had a very windy day, but the surfers loved that, and we had fun wave jumping! This is a dog friendly beach, but clearly, and thankfully, decent dog owners use it, as we didn't see any dog mess anywhere.

Had been told this beach was a gem but the bar must have been set pretty low. From mid tide up there is virtually no beach left and the waves crash onto some large boulders. I took my 7 year old surfing there yesterday and the shore dump onto boulders was not exactly child friendly. The NT café above the beach is nice but Cornwall has some really stunning beaches and this definitely isn't one of them. It just isn't that pretty and if you think it is I would suggest doing some better exploring!

This is another beautiful beach near Bude - quieter than nearer town. A little bit of a walk down from the NT car park (worth noting if loaded down with beach stuff!). Check tides before visiting - best at low tide.
Good NT cafe with lovely views and spotlessly clean loos. The SW coast path walk to Duckpool and onward towards Morwenstow is breathtaking (the views, and flowery clifftops - but also the strenuous ups and downs!) Beach good for children, but cliff walk only for older children and reasonably fit and confident adults.

As always in Cornwall this beach is accessed via a narrow approach road. The beach itself is pebble. Parking at the time of our visit was £2.50 for 2hrs. There is a Cafe and toilets available before you go down onto the beach itself. There is also a Surf School available to book near the car park.
