Description: The Olive Tree in St Merryn opens for dinner from Tuesday to Saturday from 6.30pm). Our food is largely influenced by Mediterranean cuisine and, indeed, anywhere you might find olive trees growing. We focus on making the most of the wonderful fresh produce available in Cornwall, and we source our fish, meat, dairy and most of our fruit & vegetables from local producers. Reservations are recommended, and please let us know in advance if you have any special dietary requirements. Please note that the restaurant opens in March through to December - please contact us for specific dates.

We celebrated my daughters birthday and the staff made her feel very special.
Front of house were excellent and the food was amazing. This is definitely a must do again.
Lovely relaxed atmosphere and attentive staff.

Had a fantastic evening here with my wife. The owners were extremely welcoming and the menu whilst not extensive catered to all. We both had scallops and hake which were beautifully cooked. The dessert menu offered sumptuous selection and the wine list was affordable.

Would definitely recommend!

Fiona seems to know everyone by name - and made us feel really at home, so much we came back three days later. Short (but not tiny) menu gives you confidence that everything will be cooked to perfection; good wine reasonably priced; small number of covers and bookings times so as not to overload the kitchen. Thoroughly deserves its #1 rating even against what ought to be stiff competition. Book - you won't regret it.

We were warmly welcomed. The menu offered lots of choice and the food was nicely presented and delicious. It was the tenderest steak I have eaten for a long time - and the dessert menu didn't disappoint. But it's worth booking in advance.
