A beautiful building, with interesting architecture - a nod to mackintosh, with stunning stained glass. Hauntingly quiet, stunning acoustics, worth a visit.

Dropped into the Basilique when in Sant Quentin. Very peaceful and fascinating. Recommend having a look. We (the British) knocked down the original tower in 1917 as the Germans used it as an observation post. The new bit still looks new!

The town of St Quentin is full of surprises. Not only the splendid main square, the charming back streets, the terrific restaurants and shops, but also the dazzling Basilique. While it looks stolid and perhaps a bit dull from the outside, what lies within takes your breath away. The size of a small cathedral, it has elegant arches, beautiful carvings and paintings including exquisite frescoes, a rich array of stained glass and is a genuine surprise. Well worth looking into.

This is an amazing gothic basilica which is awesome in its interior. Of particular interest is a labyrinth from the Middle Ages set in the floor of the west end of the nave. This was a pilgrims’ “artefact” used on arrival in the church. Go and see for yourself!
