Description: “Olive a Cena” is created through the collaboration of Daniel Oliva (Olive) and Carlos Arocena (cena = dinner), who became friends when they organised social nighlife events together in Versilia. Here they will concentrate their energy into a restaurant and wine bar which is created from the continuous search for food, drinks and products that combine traditional cuisine with new contemporary methods and techniques. You will be offered food and wine in perfect union in a dynamic, youthful and modern taste, but smothered with traditional hospitality. The restaurant is located in the city center just a few steps away from the entrance of the pine-wood and near an architectural icon of Art Nouveau, Villa Argentina. On days when the southwest wind blows a strong smell of salt can be felt in the air given the close proximity to the sea and consequently the Margherita boulevard. To be in the proximity of the Market Town area, it makes a great place for a refreshment or for a quick lunch, but at the same time being treated with excellent quality before and after shopping.

Stopped for lunch on a sunny day and we were able to eat outside.
Didn’t really know what to expect but it was 2pm and lots of restaurants either stop at 2 or 2.30.
A very warm welcome by the fluently English spoken owner who quickly set a table up outside. I can’t say the food was that exciting, a shared starter of quinoa with aubergine mousse wasn’t particularly tasty then a small main course of 3 gyoza (Japanese dumplings) on a cold type of gazpacho.....I think trying to be too different didn’t work, as although an acceptable lunch didn’t really set the tastebuds alight - sorry!

We stumbled across this as were were walking away from the front promenade and I'm so glad we did. Really tasty food and the chef was trying really hard to be a bit different (e.g. 'Whisky and Tobacco' for pudding-which was not whiskey and tobacco but was tasty and had a bit of theatre) we had 3 courses each and a bottle of wine for €110. The quality of food was fab. My only advice comes from my husband who thinks you should change your signage out the front! Lovley meal Thank you!

This place has outstanding service and a great wine list. The menu is excellent and the food is world-class. We have dined all round the world in some of the best restaurants and the scallops here were some of the best we have ever had. A true gem and really worth visiting and making time for this place.

I went here as a treat because the meals are priced slightly higher than others in the area and I had heard good things. Unfortunately it was very average! I got a chickpea burger with ‘seasoned vegetables’ and the whole thing tasted of absolutely nothing. I had to ask for salt and pepper and covered it in that just to have some sort of flavour. The only upside was that the staff were really friendly and they offer a free appetiser. Would not go back.

The food is good and they have a small outside area on the sidewalk. The staff are very friendly. No problem to go to with a baby.
