In Vernazza in Cinque Terre we first dined up at Il Pirata which is a fine value. Tasty bruschetta was generous with tomatoes, basil and mozzarella on 6 sizable toasts. Marinated fresh anchovies were up to our Catalan France standards.
Lasagna was fine as was gilthead bream smothered in potatoes.
The owner who talks way too much suggested a nice light Rosso di Montalcino to accompany our good dinner.
Vanilla ice cream with fresh berries topped a very good meal.
