Let me start out by saying that I don't usually write reviews, but our experience at Torre Almonte was outstading. We came here for a few days and stayed in one of the 2 bedroom apartments in the tower, using it as a home-base to travel through Umbria. Torre Almonte is as wonderful (or better) than it looks in the pictures. The grounds, views, and pool are breathtaking. The apartment was large, lovely and comfortable, with a full kitchen. Breakfasts, made by Sandra, are copious and scrumptious. The fresh air and the aroma of the flowers are still with me. This is a beautiful place.

4 couples stayed here for a week in September of 2014. We found the lodgings to be excellent, and in easy driving distance of many places we wanted to visit in both Umbria and southern Tuscany. We had a chef in to cook for us twice, and the dinners were wonderful. The two kitchens made it easy for us to cook in a couple of nights for ourselves, and Todi was close enough to eat out the other nights. The rooftop deck has 360 degree magnificent views. The rooms were of nice size, bathrooms were lovely, all was very clean, we would highly recommend it!

We have found this to be a remarkable place to stay in Umbria. A 12th century "tower" that has been converted into luxury apartments. It has been exceptionally tastefully furnished with a remarkable mixture of old and new. The management was exceptionally helpful catering to our every need.
Torre Almonte is about 12km out of Todi but worth the drive and well positioned to explore all the beautiful towns of Umbria.

Room Tip: You can choose a suite with or without a kitchen, bath and/or shower. Every room hae the most beautiful views.

An oasis of beauty and elegance in an incredibly beautiful area of Italy.
Every little detail of this property is exceptional, from the warm welcome of Raffaella, the owner who is incredibly helpful and assisted us in a million ways, to the impeccable decor (a cool mix of vintage and modern), to the excellent breakfast ( home baked treats, etc), to the cheery service of the staff (Angela is great!).
The location IS remote, so best suited to someone like us who was looking for nature, peace and quiet. You will absolutely need a car. Also, bear in mind they don't have a restaurant on the premises so you will have to go to one of the nearby restaurants(plenty. Of delicious options). The only thing I personally missed was the ability of ordering a drink by the pool, but that's just because I'm spoiled,
All in all, a fantastic place, highly recommend to recharge the batteries and live in a fairytale for a while!

Our extended family of 12 enjoyed a relaxing week in a magical part of Italy in this beautiful castle. We occupied three floors with 2 unique bedrooms and bathrooms (1 on each floor was strikingly beautiful). We delighted in sunset views of Umbrian hills and grape vinyards and sunflower filled fields from the lovely terrace on the roof. Our group included four over 75 who appreciated the fine quality elevator, four middle agers and four teenagers who ran up and down the stairs. Two floors had full kitchens, each floor had a lovely and comfortable living space for group gatherings. Everyone in our group exclaimed over the wonderful low humidity and warm clear days with cool evenings. We delighted in three prepared dinners by the recommended chef and enjoyed several other fine meals in the enchanting town of Todi nearby.
