the real plus points for this hotel are the staff at reception and bar are excellent. the shuttle service and driver are good as well. overall the decore is a bit dated. breakfast ok. there is a spa and ski store but we did not use this. overall we felt good value for money the only slight negatives are the shuttle stops running late afternoon. you get told where to sit in the resturant I prefer to choose my seat and the evening meal is only a set 3 course menu for me not a big eater its too much food! but otherwise we really enjoyed our stay the afternoon tea and view from front balcony is lovely..

Although the hotel is more than adequate in its facilities....ample ski equipment storage, spacious rooms, good restaurant and bar, sauna, jacuzzi, steam room etc...it was the staff who were the stars of the show! They were extremely friendly whilst remaining professional throughout our stay! They delighted in accommodating our every request and gave a personal touch that is more 5* than 4*. They filled up our Thermos flask every morning with the hot chocolate we gave them; remembered every morning that my fiancée & I liked espresso after our breakfast and went to the bar unprompted to get it, gave great local tips for skiing, eating out and booking instruction without necessarily recommending the hotels partner companies.....all in all, they couldn't do enough and it was an absolute pleasure to stay somewhere where it's all about people and their interactions. A massive thank you to Marco, Francesco, Roberta and Giuliana, you made our holiday perfect!

Room Tip: Engage with the staff, they take pride in helping you

The staff at the hotel has been nothing but service minded - in the reception as well as in the bar and restaurant. We felt welcomed and pampered from day one.
The food was great with a variety to choose from every day, the rooms were clean and spaciuos and the free shuttle bus to the slopes were really appreciated. 5+ stay!

We enjoyed the whole experience! Our room was spacious and clean, the facilities were great, the food was brilliant with mouth-watering menus, and above all, the staff gave their all to ensure we had a good time. Although on the outskirts of Sestriere, the free shuttle bus into town and back again was a great bonus. Oh, and the view of the mountains from our room was fantastic!

Room Tip: Try and get a room with a view of the mountains.

Yes it's a ten minute walk uphill to the lifts. But leave your skis and boots in town for 10 euros a week, catch the free mini bus in the morning then stay in town for some après fun and have an easy 7 minute downhill walk home in time for your four course evening meal. Staff are great, with a big shout out to the excellent Marco and Roberta behind the bar. Just watch out for those generously portioned gin and tonics. Thanks for a great time.

Room Tip: Best views from rooms at the front
