Erika, Casy, Fabrizio & the rest of Albergo Martin staff make Gabriele look good. The success of this welcoming inn is definitely a team effort. To avoid repetition of the positive reviews I will just say we fully intend to return next year. Sauze offers great ski-ing with the prospect of traditional Piedmont food (Grange Tachier & my new best friend, Ganefle), good wine and a relaxed ski-ing environment. Jouvenceaux is a real treat. The village is very pretty and randomly plays the likes of Sinatra over the local tannoy. On a ski rest day you can enjoy the sentieri walk to Malafosse Bassa passing the Art in the Woods.
The walk from Albergo Martin to Sauze is a 15min lung buster, up Via Baya but buses run regularly if this is an issue. Gros Sport ski hire is 5min walk. The walk from Albergo Martin to the Jouvenceaux lift is 10 mins, Hotel La Fontaine (next to the lift) does have a few lockers for hire as well as being a great sun terrace for early apres. Bar Jouvenceaux & Ristorante Etoile des Neiges are worth visiting.More
