We had the good fortune of happening upon Mangiamore during a work trip to Reggio Emilia. On two different occasions, we enjoyed drinks with friends who were part of our work group. Luca, the owner, welcomed us to his restaurant, and made us feel like special guests. We enjoyed local IPAs and a wonderfully dry Lambrusco. We enjoyed some tasty snacks with our drinks. We wished we had been able to visit for lunch to taste the vegetarian food. Our table conversations with Luca were a highlight for us. The kind of rich experience that makes a visit memorable.

I was part of one of the educational visits to Reggio. After long days of lectures and workshops, some fellow educator friends and I stumbled upon this spot near a quaint piazza. We needed some drinks (badly). The owner Luca curated a lineup of regional IPAs. He then recommended a wonderful, super dry Lambrusco from a nearby winery. Best of all, however, Luca allowed us to ask him several questions about his educational experience in Reggio, as well as his daughter’s. His insight was the prefect perspective we needed to understand the educational model and its impact more thoroughly. We also observed Luca living the Reggio philosophy of the community taking ownership of its child-citizen population. He allowed several children to play near his store as they waited for their parents. We went back several times during our visit and thoroughly enjoyed developing a friendship with Luca. While we didn’t get to eat lunch here, we did try several delicious baked goods. Beyond food and drink, though, Luca makes Mangiamore an unforgettable experience.

Very friendly staff who were able to explain the local specialties. We had the terre canossa to try the local parmigiano reggiano, prosciutto di parma and balsamico vinegar. Then the tortellini zucca and verdi. Reasonably priced food and wine. Very filling. Great atmosphere.

They are young , they are green, the team behind Mangiamore is super fresh and super cool. They have a very natural approach and have managed to create a space where it's possible to eat delicious organic food, drink freshly squeezed juices (all very yummi) in a relaxed and very welcoming environment. Although the place is children friendly (the names of juices are inspired by fairy-tales characters) , it has become a point of reference for quick lunches and between 12:30 and 14:00 the place is buzzy and packed.
Another top mark for the possibility to eat outside, under the porch and enjoy al fresco lunch while admiring Piazza Fontanesi. Great beers too. Menù is limited, every day they have around 4 to 5 dishes that change according to produce availability.Mangiamore Vegie burger with chips is heavenly as it is the quinoa salad with mediterranean seasoning (sun dried tomatoes, capers, olives).
Love the fact that they are young yet very savvy and professional, one of my fave places in town
