We had a nice room, not very big but we didn't spend a lot of time there anyway, with all the things there are to do and see in Orvieto. The bed was comfortable, the bathroom was modern, the staff was helpful, and the breakfast was good.

Other reviewers have mentioned the parking. You should not bring a car into the historic part of Orvieto! Leave it down the hill by the train station and take the funicular up. The streets are very narrow, parking is limited, some streets are pedestrian only, and you just don't need a car. In fact, you will miss a lot of the fun if you aren't walking. And on our last day there, you would have been in deep trouble with a car because they closed the main street for a festival!

Another reviewer has also mentioned that you leave your room key at the front desk when you go out. This is fairly common in Europe, especially in smaller and older style hotels (not the modern chains). The advantage for the hotel is that housekeeping doesn't have to bang on your door to see if you are out so they can clean the room, they just pick up the key at the desk.

Lovely hotel, clean, wonderful front staff. Parking is extra. Room is very small. Free breakfast was ok. Location was good bathroom was also very small. Not a good value as compared to other hotels in the area. Would only stay again if the rate was lower or if all others were booked

Very basic and a tad tacky but good value for money. The staff is very nice. Very well situated in the historic center. Not easy to find even with a GPS, which led us to take a one-way street in the wrong direction. Carabinieri padding by were nice enough to escort us to the hotel rather that giving us a ticket. Leave your car in the hotel garage and enjoy the town on foot.

Lovely place to just relax, and perfectly located to see the rest of the town. Not that its that big of a town. Complimentary breakfast is always a plus. The staff are very friendly. The rooms are well kept and very comfortable.
I'd strongly recommend this place for anyone visiting Orvieto. There's not that many choice of accommodation anyway but this place isn't taking that for granted.
Only downside is when you leave the hotel, you have to hand your room key back in to reception. Which is just weird. And then when you come back you get the key back like they don't trust us with it outside. Just odd. Never encountered this before.

There are not a large number of hotels in the old centre of Orvieto, but this one is pretty good. Stayed for 2 nights. The room was good, the overall price was reasonable. It is not a very long walk from the funicular which connects the old town with the train station down the hill. There are many restaurants within walking distance. As it gets quite hot in Orvieto in the summer, the air conditioning works well. I don't consider it a luxury property but a good solid option.
