Albergo Il Rondo is a pretty hotel with a fantastic garden to relax in when the weather permits. Its well located just outside of town and an easy walk to the lift to access the town centre with its restaurants and sights. Friendly staff and good breakfast by Italian standards.

We found Il Rondo while searching boutique hotels within Montepulciano area. Have to say we definitely made a right choise.
The hotel and the premises were beautiful, service excellent and over all stay just lovely.
Our room was fresh and clean, comfy bed, good pillows and fluffy white towels. The lighting could had been better, but then again the big window to the garden and valley made it up.
The breakfast was nice. Many varieties to choose from and fresh coffee from a pot.
The hotel was only a couple of minutes walk from the old town wall, easy to get to know the town, have a dinner etc. Parking at the hotel was very convenient.
The service was excellent. We were very warmly welcomed and the check in and out was smooth. We got some good dinner recommendations, followed and were not disappointed. We had booked a winery tour and we did not want to drive there. The owner tried to organize a taxi, but as there weren’t any available, his son drove us there and back. Wonderful service!
Overall, we had a great stay and definitely recommend Il Rondo and amazing and not that crowded Montepulciano.

We spent one night here, and we regret we didnt stay longer. The rooms are of decent size, clean and the staff very friendly. The on-site parking is free, thus arriving by car will save you many euros!
We got many tips from the staff on where to dine for the evening which was very helpful.

Be sure to relax in the beautiful garden with a book and a glass of prosecco - we did and it was perfect.

We’d love to come back.

My husband and I stayed in a nice room on the second floor with a shared sitting room. The building is very clean and the owners are helpful with any questions we had. Upon arrival, Amerigo recommended several restaurants and circled them on a map. It's hard to know from the maps of the town how really uphill it is to the town gate and even more so to the top of the town of Montepulciano where the piazza and a few other good restaurants are located. Get your walking shoes and legs ready for this beautiful town! We loved the two nice cats on the property of the hotel. The bed was comfortable, the bathroom clean and nice. We had AC in our room. Breakfast was delicious!

My cousin and I stayed at Albergo il Rondo in a two bedroom, two bathroom suite with center parlor. The accommodations were charming and the property is beautiful. The hotel is run by a lovely family and is located within walking distance ( uphill) to the old town.
