We stayed here for a week at the end of May and thoroughly enjoyed it. Salvatore and his sister are the perfect, friendly hosts. From the moment you arrive until the time you have to leave nothing is too much trouble and they could not have been more helpful. Whether you need information on public transport, need to know the best way to get to Pisa, Lucca or Florence, or simply want to know which wine to choose they are happy to assist. My wife has never been a great lover of Chianti in England but Salvatore convinced her to try the local vintage and now she is converted. The rooms are clean and airy and are not too noisy at night even though we were on the front and had the balcony doors open all night. Sitting out on the balcony is pleasant even though you face the street. It is a short walk to the promenade and to all the necessary bus stops. We rented the hotel bikes which were very cheap for a day and well worth doing to ride along the promenade to the next couple of towns. Food at breakfast and evening meals was excellent and plentiful and the staff were all friendly, smiling and eager to please. All in all we had a wonderful time here and cannot find anything to fault the excellent Salvatore and his staff. All positive and no negatives. What...More
