Nice Hotel for the price, had to get the WIFI booster fixed for the bedroom but no big deal, the main strange thing was that I wanted a shower at around 3pm, no hot water, when I asked why, I was told (bizarrely) it was because the water heater power is switched off during certain hours!!!!!
I tried to switch the air conditioning on which didn't work, and was told to open a window! Seems like penny pinching might ruin an otherwise nice Hotel!!!!
Ermmmmm, this is a Hotel, there should be facilities available 24/7!
The buffet breakfast was passable if you don't mind asking for bread, there never seems to be enough, a small plate is put out with about 10 pieces on for a 19 bedroom Hotel, but that is not a big deal, perhaps a basket might be better.
Having said all that, I looked at other Hotels and they are similar so yes I would recommend this one as long as you are easily pleased.

Room tip: Ask for room 118

egregio cliente

We enjoyed very much our 14-night stay in this cosy family hotel in July-August. The stuff and owner Monica were friendly and ready to help. When our room turned out to be quite noisy, Monica gave us a quiet room. Our train from Viareggio was late in night and early in the morning, and we are thankful to Monica for the free shuttle to the hotel. We like very much good dinner (we took half-board), with sea food, water, coffee and wine included. It was our pleasure to have vacations in this charming sunny town with great beach, (but like most people, we think that the beach costs in Toscana are crasy and not included in the hotel costs. They should have available more cheaper and free beaches in such a beautiful place). We liked the hotel location, close to the sea and great promenade, and and not far from the supermarket and bus stops. It's a pity that nobody in the hotel speaks fluent English and there are no international TV channels, only in Italian language. But still we were happy to choose this lovely hotel.

Room tip: Rooms overlooking to Secco str. are quite noisy (traffic)

We stayed twice at this Hotel because we liked the owner Monique very much, our first time was with bookings.com. It was my husband 65th birthday and after we came back from dining on the beach we found a bottle of Champagne and 2 glasses chilling in an ice bucket on our bed. How often do you get this kind of attention? The room was not big but it was in the front the bathroom was larger, it had all the amenieties you could wish for. The second time was almost 2 months later and as we meandered back to Paris we decided to stay there once again, without reservations. Our room this time was larger and gave on the side street, the bathrooms are modern and they have great showers. There is also a garden where you can relax and of course the parking is free next door which made this a very good deal because it also included the breakfast in the price. It is NOT your ordinary "blah" hotel because it once was a home belongings to the owner's family, it is run by family members as well....the dinner is apparently excellent at the hotel but you must book ahead which we did'nt think of doing. Our lost! All in all it was a couple of blocks away from the beach and the walkway, easy reach of restaurants and places to lay in the sun....a great experience.

Room tip: The rooms on the "side street" are a little bit bigger, but both were very quiet....

egregio signore

We came across this hotel as we were trying to find accomodations in viareggio. Without doubt one of the best hotels we stayed in based on service and accomodations. The staff without doubt did everything to make our stay a pleasurable experience. Would recommend to anyone traveling to viareggio region.Would stay again without hesitation.
