The only thing I loved about this hotel is the staff and the service, they were so friendly and attentive. Hence the 2 stars. Bravo to the staff!

We paid €1000 per night including breakfast. Not worth this price, this hotel is ridiculously overpriced and doesn’t even deserve 5 stars, it should be 4 stars:

- Breakfast was very poor, not many choices, and food quality was bad!

- Only 1 small lift for all hotel guests.

- Spa facilities not included! I have never seen any luxury hotel that makes its guests pay to use the sauna, pool, etc... they told us that we have a “spa credit” which allows only one person to enter free, the second person has to pay in order to use the spa facilities!

- We were upgraded to a suite. Very spacious and clean. But the bathroom wall is all glass and you have to close the curtains (which are placed outside the bathroom). No privacy at all. And of course no soundproof. The shower was faulty (hot water only).

- There was no coffee machine in the room.

- Very noisy. You can hear everything in the corridor/hallway.

- No views at all. Even the bar/lounge at top is nothing special and not nice view as shown in pictures.

- They charged us for parking, €25 a day, even though they have a garage basement and they parked our car there (we were there at end of season and there were merely any cars, there is even empty parking lots on ground floor let alone the garage). I don’t get why a luxury €1000 a night charges for parking.

Dear Dalal,
we thank you for this detailed feedback;
every criticism, for us, is a source for grow up and try to be better.
The staff thank you for congratulations, we work a lot on relationship with our costumers.
Unfornately, the structure doesn't allow to have one more lift.
We will try to propose some rates better, "su misura del cliente".
If there will be a chance to get you back at the hotel, we will try to make it better.

I will be short. As this place doesn’t deserve me writing here even..) this was really TERRIBLE. Room is super small with a toilet in front of your bed, with broken shower making noise every time I switched it on)) loud SUPER loud! You wake up every time someone closes a door or opens it..breakfast is sooooo POOR) never saw such offensively little choice in any 5 star hotel..embarrassing..;-) everything is super average like far from being even 4*. Not average is just THE BEACH FOR 500 euro per day for a front line))) what a surprise when you come to the sea let’s say for a week or two)))))) pls see the pics of what you get for this again average sun-beds WITH yellow stains( I on purpose didn’t say anything waiting when they see it and change!) no one did it)) as all they care about is MONEY! Bottle of water is included into the bill !! Which is even never changed for a new one, well..it’s an ABSOLUTE RIP OFF...seriously there are must be limits for everything in life...you can’t go far by doing such things..

Principe Forte dei Marmi is by far the worst travel experience of my life. a complete disaster, from the onset:
- check in experience: arrived at 15:30 -check in time is 1600- was told by a rude and somewhat useless staff that i needed to wait 50-60 min for my room, as the prior guest checked out late (check out time is 12:00). only after a discussion and complaining and asking to see the manager, they agreed to accelerate timings.
- the room (305) rather average room, third grade quality under a barnish of 'luxury', i would have expected a little more for a room they charged thousand of euros per night. hot water in the lavatory hardly works.
- try ordering a beach bag..good luck.
- facilities. average. how come a 5-star luxury hotel has only 1 lift, which breaks down twice in 24-hours. not that it is a big effort to go up 3 floors, but if you pay their prices the minimum to expect is flawless service and quality
- noise: terrace was closed for a 'private' event. blasting music until midnight..
- breakfast: on top of the 3K euro a night had to purchase a 100 euro night spa package that includes continental breakfast (fairly crappy btw)
- beach, this is really the highlight..euro200 and above per day for a tent, 2 flat beds -dont fold/lean- 2 chais and 1 liter of water. it would be funny but when you check in, staff duo whatever needed to avoid telling you the prices of these 'luxury gazebos', so you get to the beach and your 'friendly' beach guy tells you that you have the option of paying 150., 200, 300, 400, 500..

it is not really the amount they charge for the crappy service, is the fact that they take for granted that you need to thank them for the pleasure of paying an overpriced facility, poorly maintained, sub par quality, with terrible staff..cant wait to see how much they charge me tomorrow for the valet parking.

will never come back again, and if you are a smart traveler (smarter than me, at least) do not set foot in the principe forte dei marmi...

- facilities:

Room Tip: if you value service, go somewhere else!

Incredible hotel, the best part of our trip to Europe. Sleek, modern, polished with a staff that is attentive, thoughtful and takes service to another level.

The hotel is boutique in feeling, spacious with incredible food. From the Michelin starred restaurant on the rooftop with breathtaking views of the ocean and sunset on one side, and mountains on the other, your food choice staying at the hotel is amazing. Breakfast buffet, lunch or snacks by the pool, we were thoroughly impressed.

We enjoyed the pool which was a perfect temperature, gorgeous lounge chairs, really great snacks and drinks for unwinding after the day. The hotel provides bikes of all shapes and sizes complementary for the patrons, cars to ferry you around town and even to Lucca and Pietrasanta with the most kind and thoughtful drivers.

Conceirge service was incredible, from restaurant recommendations, where to go, what to see, they were collectively the best group of any hotel in Europe.

Located blocks from the Center of town, a short block to the related beach club on the sand, it is a great location - quiet, elegant, sophisticated. Highly recommend. We will be back hopefully soon! Thank you for an amazing trip and memories.

despite what I read from comments before, I have to say I had a really nice experience with staff very friendly and welcoming suitable for a 5* place. great house negroni and snacks, beautiful sunset - not hotel-made, I know, pricey but it's totally equal to what I got. it was a quiet evening and maybe it changes when it's packed on a summer weekend but my experience was great.
