The only reason I give this a four is the lack of an elevator(this is an old building )not for the faint of heart , you must climb two sets of stairs to get to the check in area. Stairs are daunting when you are carrying your luggage, especially if it was a ton because your going on a cruise. Jessica and Genia are delightful, very warm and make you feel right at home. This was a nice change of pace from staying at a hotel. The location perfect, walking distance to pretty much anywhere you want to go in Civitavecchia. Shopping and restaurants right outside the front door.

We did eventually love our stay at Alibrandi but we were initially disappointed when we arrived in the morning from our very longhaul flight from Australia to not even have an area to change some clothes etc. we had previously arranged contact prior to arrival to ensure this was okay and were told it would be fine. After going and exploring for a few hours we returned to find a new checkin person Olivia who was very apologetic for our circumstances. We eventually settled in and loved our stay. Rooms are large and bathroom was fine. Furnishings are of the old Italian style and may not appeal to everyone but we loved it.
Breakfast is a traditional European continental breakfast with bread, meats, cheese and cereals with tea & coffee. Close to shops and the port which was a bonus.

The arranged transport to port for us and were very accomodating. The rooms are clean the breakfast was terrific!!! I can’t say enough great things about this place if we are ever back we will definitely stay again!! Thank you Olivia for making our stay perfect!

Firstly this place is hard to find. Like many hotels that are old homes, Alibrandi Palace is found opposite the theatre through two large wooden doors and the hotel sign is a small brass plague to the right. I couldn't find it for ages so that's important to know. Other than that, a young lady came and carried up my heavy bag and the room was comfortable, clean and lovely. The bathroom was great and the breakfast was good too. The staff were just lovely.

Hello,

Thank you so much for your feedback we really appreciate it! I'm so glad to hear that you stay fine with us, unfortunetly we are not allowed to put a big sign with the name of the B&B because the municipality don't allow to put it in the ancient palaces.

I hope looking forward to seeing you again.

Best Regards, Alibrandi Palace

We stayed at the Alibrandi for 2 nights before our cruise. Advance communication with the property was very easy with timely responses. Alibrandi arranged private transportation, which was waiting for us when we arrived at FCO 30 minutes early, from the airport to the property. The staff was waiting for us when we arrived after the normal check-in time. Alibrandi is within walking distance to the cruise port shuttle service and the local train to Rome. There was a market set up outside the property and a small supermarket a block away. There are lots of local food and drink options in close proximity. Accommodations were spacious and well decorated. Building and architecture are amazing! Breakfast was satisfying. Staff are very helpful. They arranged a taxi to take us and other guests directly to the cruise port for 5 Euros each. Well worth it for the convenience. Overall, a great property and location, especially if going on a cruise.
