Tomas was very friendly on our arrival. The bus stn is a 2 min walk! Our room was spotless, very comfortable. Lovely decor. A beautiful private terrace area also! Very central location, close to beach, town centre, everything!! They will help with car hire & bus times etc. very friendly & very helpful! Breakfast is a cold buffet but served until 11 so if you need a lie in you can still catch it. Would really recommend. Beautiful island & beautiful town! Loved our stay!

If you are thinking of holidaying in Elba and looking for a good, clean hotel close to all the amenities in the beautiful seaside resort of Marina di Campo, look no further than Hotel Mistral. At Hotel Mistral you will be assured of a warm welcome and the location of the hotel is just great, being less than 100 metres from Marina di Campo's beautiful beach where we spent some time on the sun beds next to Bar da Sergio - a good spot for aperitifs at sunset! Secure parking is provided free of charge by the hotel 2 minutes away. I must say we had a lovely room on the second floor overlooking the sea. The hotel has a relaxing feel about it with a sun roof and outside dining. What is really noticable, was its' cleanliness - freshly decorated throughout and everywhere was absolutely spotless. Having had a look on Tripadvisor before travelling there and looking around the town when we were actually there, I would say that Hotel Mistral is probably the best hotel in Marina di Campo at the price. Breakfast was typical Italian with a limited choice, but plentiful - you will not go hungry! Staff were really kind to us and as they did not have evening dining facilities, they pointed us in the direction of very good nearby restaurants - Ristorante la Cantina del Mare and La Rustica. Marina di Campo is a lovely little town with lots of smart shops, a picturesq harbour and a long sandy beach and promenade. Also it is central for everywhere on Elba - we explored the island by car, but it was always nice to get back to Marina di Campo and Hotel Mistral. Gazie mille!

I stayed in Mistral hotel september 2010, it is one of the most clean and new hotels in Marina di Campo, situated just a few steps to the center and to the beach. Very clean and friendly. The owner was very nice and cheery person. They have private parking just next to hotel. Breakfast was good as well with a good variety. I think this hotel is one of the best in Marina di Campo together with Riva del Sole

We were pleasantly surprised with this hotel - which we chose mainly due to location, price and the fact that it is quite new.

Best things about this hotel: location (near the beach, near center of Marina di Campo, parking with shade included and near the hotel), value for money, cleanliness and service (Roberto the manager has been very helpful with truly genuine advice on restaurants and beaches).

Possible downsides: maybe the noise in the rooms that are facing the street (ours was facing inwards, so I don't really know, but it seemed a bit noisy in the area in front of the hotel - not sure though). Also, the breakfast is good but I would expand the savoury menu (maybe adding eggs or something) - still, the "sweet part" was very good.

All in all, we will be going back!

we stayed for 3 nights in mid 2010, and were very happy with our choice. the hotel has rooms with terraces or rooms without... We had to change rooms so got a feel for both. Terrace rooms feel a little more spacious, and it's nice to sit out and read, although as the hotel overlooks a well travelled road it can be a bit noisy.

The hotel is a 100m walk from the beach, just around the corner from a supermarket and a number of restaurants and next door to a pharmacy, so it's very well located.

Roberto, the manager has been wonderfully accomodating throughout our stay - he put us in the right mood with flowers and champagne in the room (we're honeymooners), and personally attended to clean up when we broke one of his champagne flutes!

Breakfast is above average here - Laura makes great coffee and there's quite a good selection of cereals, fruit, cakes, brot, spreads and yogurt to choose from.

The only detraction is the joining of two single beds to make a double - but this is seemingly standard practice in Europe and certainly not unique to this hotel. Nonetheless, a little irritating for us aussies used to a full queen sized bed in hotels at home!
