This hotel is located within easy walking distance of the center of Alba. Rooms are large and clean, and the staff was helpful. Alba is not very big, and this location was very convenient with a lavanderia (laundry), ATM, and many good restaurants close by as you head towards the center of town. There was even a wine store nearby with a great inventory (including older wines) that shipped to the US! It was also on what looked like a major road close to some roundabouts, which made it easy to drive off in whatever direction you chose.

One of the things I remember most about my room is that it had a great bathroom. There was a full bath, but no sliding door or curtain, so you had to exercise extreme caution to avoid getting the floor flooded during a shower. There was no facial tissue or clock. The room safe easily fit an iPad. When I first looked at the bed, I thought it was a king bed, but it turned out to be 2 smaller beds pushed together under a single large sheet. The wifi was slow, with frequent drop outs.

The included breakfast was good. There was an adequate selection of fresh fruit, yogurt, cereals, bread, pastries, cheese, cold cuts, etc. Scrambled eggs were available, but no breakfast sausage. Coffee came out of a machine with multiple buttons for the different types of coffee. I drank tea, so I don’t know the quality of the coffee. I would love to stay here again.

We stayed here for three nights and really enjoyed the hotel. The rooms were clean, big enough and staff friendly. The hotel is very close to the historic centre, so we walked to town every night for dinner.

This hotel is very well located because is in the city entrace and close to the historical city center. Also has garage, so you can get to Alba by car and keep it to visit other near cities, or leave it at the hotel parking while visiting the main places at the city by walk. The rooms are good, clean and have space enought. The very negative point was the fact that the hotel does not turn on the air conditioner central when they think it is cold and the oficial sugestion from all staff is to open the window. So, if it's cold outside you will have two choices: (1) close wiondow and sleep in a hot room, without any air circulation or (2) open the wiondow and sleep freezen, with company of some bugs, noise and wake up as soon as the sunrise, once part of the courtain must be opened when the window is. I should say this hotel is more between a nice 2 stars or a maximum a 3 stars, but not a 4 stars. Should be anounced without air conditioner insted and have better prices.

Dear Eduardo,
we thank you for taking your time to post a review and for all the positive points that you found. We are sorry for the problem with the air conditioning. In autumn, the air conditioning it's stopped because the majority of guests does not like it, as the outside temperature is already quite low (especially in the evening/night). Probably you had a room on the south part of the hotel, warmed by the afternoon sun and therefore warmer. In this case , the only way to bring down the temperature in a short time is to open the window for a few minutes. During the night is not necessary to leave the window open because in this time of the year the temperature falls automatically.
Best Regards
Monica

Great location, easy to reach by car and a 5 min walk into the old town! The room was airy and clean, no view to write home about(not a big issue, but still...)The view you can get from the penthouse restaurant. The staff was all over friendly!!
