Staying in a B&B nearby we were directed to the Borough Arms but were warned it may be busy. That was a bit of an understatement....it was heaving! Although the dining room was fully booked we were told we could still eat if we could find a seat in the bar or outside. We were lucky and managed to secure a table. The carvery was the most popular although other options were available. Food was hot and plentiful and, judging by the number of regulars greeted by the staff a favourite place to eat.
Advance booking would probably secure a table for more relaxed dining in the restaurant part as the bar area was very busy and noisy but that just underlined its popularity.
